The only evidence the victims shot at police has been the story the police are providing. Lawyers for the families dispute that. If you viewed the video done by an independent investigator of the house you'd have some questions about the veracity of Acevedo's PPD investigation and fanciful report.

Lanier says Goines has worked part-time for her husband and their extended family for 25 years. During the final two years of the former mayor's life, Goines helped out the family almost every night.
