The only evidence the victims shot at police has been the story the police are providing. Lawyers for the families dispute that. If you viewed the video done by an independent investigator of the house you'd have some questions about the veracity of Acevedo's PPD investigation and fanciful report.
That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for clarifying.

I think the whole house of cards fell because a couple of officers were seriously wounded during the execution of the search warrant. That led to the discovery that the warrant was obtained because one of the officers perjured himself. If none of the officers had been wounded, and only the homeowners killed, none of this would have seen the light of day until much later, if ever.
Sorry; I cannot tell if you're replying to me or someone else, but I felt like this was the gist of what I was saying as well?

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

"I want people to know there's another side to Gerald Goines," she said. "He is a fine police officer, who would only want to do something that is right."

Lanier says Goines has worked part-time for her husband and their extended family for 25 years. During the final two years of the former mayor's life, Goines helped out the family almost every night.

"The great thing about Gerald is that he didn't bring one job to another job. When he was with us, he focused on us. He didn't talk about anything he was doing, but I know him as a man of great integrity and honor," recalled Elyse Lanier.
Am I alone in wondering what sort of "special work" he did for the former mayor? Work which, per the brief quote, was obviously and completely separate from his duties as a public servant?

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

Drug kingpins don't fear their disposable henchmen getting iced or put away. They fear an end to the price supports enacted by the US government that make them rich.

Cocaine is easier to make than coffee or chocolate. GOOD weed is easier to grow and process than Cilantro. There are no coffee, chocolate or cilantro cartels (there were, but economic competition following deregulation ended them). Why are we choosing to make vicious criminals rich?
