Re: PA suspends issuing LTC's

As a result of the pandemic, police in Philadelphia are delaying arrests for some crimes – including narcotics offenses, thefts, burglary and prostitution – but Kinebrew said Friday that officers would continue to arrest people carrying a firearm without a permit. Stealing from someone or burglariz...

Re: Gun fires if you pull the trigger!

While it is hilarious I would give the benefit of the doubt and assume she is talking about the lack of a manual safety on the Glock. Poor wording for sure though. Looking further before I post this it looks like she clarified this in a a later post. The point of the backlash is that a loaded gun l...

Re: KHOU - 17 states call on Congress to abandon concealed carry gun law

I may be in the minority, but I feel that states have the right to determine reciprocity as they see fit. I would not want "reciprocity" in the opposite direction. I agree that the 10th Amendment should be respected to a much greater degree than it is. I also believe that there should be ...

Re: Six Flags is history...

I saw this in another forum also. I commented then how I would no longer ever visit Six Flags, to the loss of my grandchildren. I deplore the moral cowardice involved in this change. I could have supported it if they just corrected their flag display to show the actual flag that flew over Texas, in...

Re: Owner of 51% business able to carry on premesis?

All the not a lawyer stuff and not legal advice as usual. From my reading of the code the owner is allowed to and I think anyone working as a supervisor under the license for the license holder. Penal code Chapter 46 Section 46.15 subsection a (7): holds an alcoholic beverage permit or license or is...

Re: Smart Gun Hacked, Fires using Magnets

Well gee, the smart gun technology has problems? That's really too bad. I was so looking forward to having a gun that the government could remotely disable whenever they want. Not to mention that as soon as they get the kinks worked out on smart guns, they can just make all these non-smart guns ill...

Re: Church Security after Sep 1

What your friend is probably getting confused is the fact that when working under occupation code 1702 (as security) you cannot use your LTC. For example when I am working under my Commisioned license as security for my company my LTC is not considered valid. This prevents a Non-Commisioned officer ...

Concealed carry at my gym

A nice little story from the Austin area. When going to the gym the other day I had forgotten my gym card so I handed over my ID instead. Apparently I handed over my LTC instead of my DL (they both are in the same slot of my wallet). I have had many conversations with the owner of the gym about guns...

Re: Texas Illegal Knife Bill unanimously passes out of committee.

So, the bill wasn't signed by the Governor today. What happens to it if he doesn't sign it? Does it just disappear, despite being passed by both House and Senate? I could be wrong on this but I believe if a bill isn't signed or rejected within ten days of hitting his desk it automatically becomes l...

Re: Question regarding back ground check on application

I just got my LTC and had a similar issue. I was given a ticket for petty theft when I was 15. I listed this in the section that asks for any additional information (as I was unsure where else to list it) and they treated it as if it were an arrest. They sent me a letter asking for more information,...
