So at the moment of the incident he was a private citizen.
Reserve Deputies and other law enforcement in Oklahoma must be Oklahoma C.L.E.E.T. certified. This means he may have been off-duty, but was still a active LEO.

None the less, this could have just as easily been a CHL holder who was allowed to carry on the job. Armed and prepared is armed and prepared.

Re: Woman Beheaded in Oklahoma

The link has some errant info. They imply Oklahoma has a law that prohibits employers from preventing a CHL from carrying in their business, and that is not true. They do have a parking lot law like we do, but that is as far as it goes. As for the guy that stopped the attack, he is the Chief Operations Officer for the company, as well as a reserve deputy sheriff, so I am sure he was able to set or at least influence policy for concealed carry at the business.

Re: Woman Beheaded in Oklahoma

OK, drop the discussion of religion. This has not been proven to be anything other than an act of a disgruntled employee who had been fired, and we will not bring the pointing of fingers at religion into this, whether the media does or not. Stop or the topic till be locked.
