Re: Solar Power

Still crappy ROI. Depending on sun, wind, methane gas, crop circles and prayer won't grant you energy. 100% agreed. In some of my calculations, I got negative ROI. This is how I see solar. It is a great concept. It has its merits. And yes, it will do its part to save the earth in due time. At this ...

Re: Solar Power

I've done some thought on solar panels myself. I opted against it due to poor ROI. There are upsides and downsides that are hard to quantify, but at this point in time, there are far better places to put my money than into a solar system. YMMV, of course. I actually would prefer a traditional roofto...

Re: Texas Ranked America’s Top State for Business

I'm kinda torn. Yay for Texas being the model for America :patriot: :txflag: But that is a reason why people from the left coast are migrating here like locusts. Granted we do get the occasional refugee, but for the most part, they'll band together to dismantle the foundation of what makes Texas gre...

OK, so apparently he did manage to get out before the cops arrived. But why... WHY was he just chilling outside the front door when they arrived? Did he want to make sure the cops knew he was OK?

Re: DFW North/NorthEast Quadrant Breakfast

I can't wait. It'll be good to see GeekwithaGun again. I also got myself a couple new toys to show off since we last met. I will bring one this Saturday, and the other one next Saturday in Arlington.

Re: Remington - new double stack 1911

I would expect them to be compatible too if they use the same tooling to make the Para Ords. It only makes sense that they do, though. I highly doubt Remington would have the funds to come up with a new double stack 1911 for mass production. I didn't know Remington and Para Ord are part of the same ...

Re: Remington - new double stack 1911

I love my double stack 1911s. Yeah, they're heavy at 57 oz loaded. Yes they're stupidly thick. I don't care that only Mec Gar makes mags for it. I just love 'em. I'm curious how the Remington version is going to hold up. I think a visit to a LGS is in order after release. I don't see this really hel...

Re: San Francisco Chronicle editor pretends familiarity with firearms

Normally, I'd go on a narrative about leftist buffoons right about now, but I have to call it as I see it. Here's what the article says: 1: This was back in the 90s. No background checks required before 1993. 2: The author of the chronicle article clearly purchased the gun in Texas, not California. ...

San Francisco proves communism works...to destroy/ruin/and bring down everything good. Bye Bye san francisco...it was at one time good to know you. Wait a minute. This doesn't add up. San Francisco was good at one point? Also, on the point of communism: https://www.forbes.com/sites/patrickgleason/2...

Re: Watch Your Six

They’re stopping in Big Bend? I saw that too. Weird. Maybe it went like this. "Littleton is too close to Aurora. The flags are right on top of each other." "Then move them further apart." "Here?" "Still too close." "Here?" "Eh, good enough. Here's a participation trophy. Thanks for all your hard wo...

Nice! Where'd you get those grips?

I just ordered up a pair of custom grips for mine as well. It'll probably be another couple weeks before they arrive, though.

Re: Man attacks teens in San antonio over MAGA hat

I have a sense that karma will be biting this supposed "man" in the buttocks...and probably for a very long time... hopefully... :tiphat: Unfortunately karma has gone off the rails. His addresses was posted online, except it wasn't his, or at least not for a good number of years. It's his brother's...
