It could be college ball too. I saw a bunch of people with A&M shirts show up yesterday morning, then by around 10AM, the polling place was like a ghost town. People started showing up again later in the afternoon. For Carrollton Public Library, it has been fairly smooth lately. There is no real bad time to go. Wait times are now at 5 minutes or less. In most cases, there is < 1 minute wait. If you do curbside voting there or at any other location, it is best to park in the designated spot, then call the county hotline (940) 349-3200 and let them know where you are. Waiting there patiently or getting an appointment ahead of time can turn into a headache.
As a recommendation before people go voting in Denton, go to votedenton.com and check your registration status. This will help alleviate some problems you may face if there's something wrong with the registration. Also, if you ever move or change names, reregister in your county right away before they catch the change. They will catch the change even if you don't tell them, and that may make check-in difficult.

Yup. Wearing anything advertising someone on the ballot is a no-no. Same with political party. Everything else is OK.
Denton county is getting slammed with early voting. It's tapered down since last week a smidge, but it's still up there. So far, 225,476 people have voted at the early polling sites. That's 39.8% of all registered voters in the county. Carrollton Public Library just broke 10,000 check-ins today with a total of 10,121 since last Tuesday. That is insane. They're quite geared up for moving people, though. They have 4 check-in stations, an additional ad-hoc check-in station, and 19 ballot booths. Lately, wait times have been averaging 5-15 minutes. Lunchtime is a bad time to go. Don't do it. Second place with just over 9000 check-ins is the Copeland government center in Crossroads right by Aubrey. It's odd how there are so many people checking in there.
On the other hand, Shady Shores is pulling in dead last with 1467 voters checked in. If you're in that area and haven't voted yet, go there. Somehow they have fewer people show up than Pilot Point or Ponder.

Early voting was the busiest Tue-Thurs. Yesterday, it was still bad, but not as bad with average wait times of about 30 minutes at the Carrollton Public Library.
Today, there was no more than a 5 minute wait. Most of the time, there was no wait at all. Let's see what next week brings.

That reminds me of a letter I got a few weeks ago. Kalifornistan still thinks I'm perfectly capable of voting there. They know I moved, but they kept me on the voter registration. To unregister, I have to fill out the back of their postcard with all of my personally identifiable information and return it. Or I can just wait until I miss so many elections (3 years isn't enough?) before I get removed. I wouldn't be surprised if I continue getting letters from them for years to come.
