So does the tread need a name changed? Can Beto O'Rourke really beat Donald Trump?
I'm not sure either will be a major party candidate in 2020.

Beto will have an hour to him self on CNN, as Ted declined to come on CNN.
Does CNN have to report that as an in-kind contribution to the Beto campaign?

My property is posted so if a stranger comes up my driveway, they're trespassing and therefore criminals.

Nationally yes but not in Texas. I don't think there was ever a question as to whether or not Trump could carry the state once he'd sewn up the nomination.
I think Cruz will win but it's not a sure thing. It will come down to voter turn out.

Beto will win if the Democrats turn out the vote in large numbers. They're working hard to energize their base. Look at the Beto yard signs. Look at the door to door campaigners. On election day, I'm sure they will give free rides to polling places to people who want Medicaid for all and other socialist stuff.

Meanwhile the Republicans aren't doing much to energize their base. They still haven't repealed Obamacare. They haven't passed national reciprocity or hearing protection. They're letting the Democrats delay the Kavanaugh vote. I can't think of anything they accomplished in the past six months to get conservatives fired up to vote.

It's going to come down to voter turn out.
