It may seem that way to people who don't understand how firearms function mechanically, but gun owners were bump firing long before slide fire existed. We did it with no mechanical aids or modifications to the firearm. Using the trigger finger and support hand that God gave us.

A semi auto action has an increased rate of fire compared to a manual bolt action. A manual bolt action has an increased rate of fire compared to a single shot metallic cartridge rifle. A single shot metallic cartridge rifle has an increased rate of fire compared to a 1776-era Kentucky Rifle.

If you think we'll get something from a bump ban compromise, remember these are the people who still haven't repealed Obamacare, and couldn't push through hearing protection before the LV massacre.
