Re: Part 1 - What Color?

I have been contemplating the same issue. I want to paint my AR, but don't want the usual camo patterns or the use of FDE furniture. IMO, FDE is not very good at masking a weapon, unless you are surrounded by miles of desert. Looking around at nature, you see browns, greens and grays. So my idea on ...

Re: Stolen gun and.... wait for it...

My daughter was killed by a gun stolen out of an unlocked vehicle so excuse me if I am among those that consider not knowing where firearms are or leaving them accessible to others not authorized to have access as reckless and irresponsible. not knowing where _________ are or leaving them accessibl...

If you have a three speed on the column, might as well leave the keys in it. 20 years ago in high school, my friends couldn't drive my truck.
Yup three on the tree, that's what I learned to drive on at the age of 10. Fun times.

Re: iPhone autocorrect is anti-gun

Not available on my computer! Once you put in the to and from destinations, it will give you some options, like where my mouse pointer is, then you can choose what to avoid. Seems like now these settings don't persist, use to be an option in user settings for this. http://imgur.com/QBQ6wSZl.png htt...

Re: The NRA Says It’s in Deep Financial Trouble, May Be ‘Unable to Exist’

This is just a lawsuit against NY, for basically denying NRA services to residents in that state. This does not mean that the NRA is going bankrupt or is going to fall over deprived revenue from one state. I believe this article(s) is nothing but a ploy to make people "think" that the NRA is falling...

Re: Brass/steel/aluminum ammo. Pros and cons of each?

Yes, brass is the better choice for ammo. It is more accurate, cause the brass will expand in chamber, therefor giving a better burn and compression, plus it's reloadable. For steel case, don't believe the stories of how it will ruin you firearm or puts excessive wear on it. For normal shooting, thi...

Re: My first AR

For just plinking, you can go with some steel cased .223 ammo like TulAmmo or Monarch, both are about $5 per 20rnd box. If you want to go a little bit better ammo, American Eagle is about $7 per 20. Wolf performance steel case is another pretty good round, cost about the same as TulAmmo and Monarch.

Re: Mosquito control - cheap

Yup, same exact thing you can make with bottles, but charge you $20 for it. My BIL bought some couple months ago, seemed to work ok, as far as keeping the skeeters on the other side of the yard, don't know about eradicating them though.

Re: TX: Houston 5 YO gets gun for mom to shoot dad.

All of my rifles are hanging on a wall rack, as they did when I was a kid. If you raise your kids to respect firearms, majority of the time you won't have issues. Other than my AR and 30.30, my kids can go grab any firearm and head off down in the woods or friends place. I know, without a doubt, tha...

Re: Illegal Kitty Keychain

That keychain was made specifically as a weapon, like brass knuckles or dagger, not a keychain that "could" be used as one. While a dagger is legal, the resemblance of brass knuckles is not. If someone wants wants a similar item, just get a mini dagger and attach to keychain, purse or even carried i...

Re: Blank Subpeona...Constitutional?

Some states might can get away with a blank Subpoena, but not in Texas. The Subpoena must be completely filled by the court or DA. https://www.serve-now.com/resources/process-serving-laws/texas#176 Edit: While some states may issue a blank Subpoena, it MUST be completely filled out BEFORE being serv...
