Re: New Articles

Updating as there's a correction that needs to be made to the new article. There should be a target for the 4th test round that somehow got deleted. It gave the best result overall, and I have contacted the editor of the blog. Hopefully, it will be corrected this afternoon. ;-)

Re: What case lube and why?

I know I'm arriving late to this discussion, but a friend of mine who shoots benchrest gave me a small quantity of a great and easy to find lube. Peak brand, neutral boot polish made with bees-wax. You can find it at any Tractor Supply. My buddy loads several different rifle calibers for benchrest s...

Re: Was COVID-19 bio-engineered in a Wuhan lab?

Well, of course, incompetence will be the press release after an agonizing investigation . . . right! Maybe an inquiry from the Anti-Christ demo-commies Schmucky, Schiffty and ASSociates. Maybe it will come from Wolf Blitzer, Prancer, Dasher or Blixen. Let's talk about timelines. Trump imposes tarif...

Re: Was COVID-19 bio-engineered in a Wuhan lab?

It has to be more than just coincidence that their leaders aren't being infected the ways ours and others have been. And there are reports out if you can find them that point out the amount of US Debt the Chinese now control. Last I saw it was over a Trillion $ but I suspect that would be a conserva...

Re: Was COVID-19 bio-engineered in a Wuhan lab?

Any of the Chinese doctors who even tried to hint about the China Virus being extremely contagious were immediately silenced, if they weren't in fact disappeared. Obviously the correct opinion about its origination will not be coming from China. So who, the WHO? CDC? CNN? We at least know that prote...

Re: Was COVID-19 bio-engineered in a Wuhan lab?

Neither does the French Dr. who was part of the team that discovered the HIV virus. If this country allows the Manchurian Candidates of the demo-commie party to take control again . . . As someone who took an oath to defend the Constitution, I'm well past the point of concern about all enemies forei...

Re: Interested in Mil-Spec load Data

As far as wound ballistics, the military has kept records on such things. I have mentioned Quantitative Ammunition Selection by Charles Schwartz. When you get into the scientific evaluations of such things the various studies are referenced. One organization that might be able to help is the IWBA. I...

Re: Loading 165 grain 9mm

I saw that as well but I also found on the Hodgdon website that the 147 grain at 1.10 COAL is loaded with 3.2 to 3.6 at 22,500 to 27,500 CUP respectively. Of course the CUP vs PSI lead me down another rabbit-hole all together however, I put the 165 grain at 1.15 COAL which should be close to the sa...

Re: How do y'all inspect for cracked cases?

Visually throughout the loading process, and by feel when a case is in the dies. I load semi-progressively on a LEE Classic Turret press, so I'm only dealing with one case at a time. Editing to add that when loading 9 X 19mm, with case thickness variations ever increasing, I sort by thick and thin w...

Re: Loading 165 grain 9mm

Provided that Quik-Load has 165 gr. bullets in the database, that's likely as close as you'll get without an actual pressure test of a handload. As far as minor power factor at say 130 with a bit of cushion, you only need 788 FPS to do that.

Now, who here has Quik-Load on their computer? ;-)

Re: Reloading issue 223 RCBS dies

I think the seater plug is not ideal for the bullet I am loading. Will try different brass, reduce powder load, new seater die, and see what I get. I removed the expander and it is really tight when I wiggle it in and out of the mouth of resized brass. So, may be a sizing issue, I am using small ba...
