Re: Just poking fun at you 1911 guys

It’s the same reason I never cared for Yeager. He’s gotten very popular but I still don’t see him as an authority just because he’s viewed numerous shooting videos and comments on them. What in his background makes him a firearms guru? Is it all the firearms classes he’s taken? Love him or hate him...

Black Aces Tactical comes to mind
No personal experience, but I've heard more bad than good on their builds. With the Mossberg and Remington factory offerings, I'd pass on BAT.

Re: Has anyone took the time to make a kit or Glock look alike?

Has any one looked into what is required to do the Kit or would it be legal in Texas. Yes, legal. Glock is easiest, followed by AKs, Sig 320s($$ to finish), then AR...then 1911. For the AR and 1911, you really need a mill, although you could probably cut an 80% polymer AR lower with a drill press, ...

Absolutely! https://www.joecustoms.com/customs/images/final/figure/2010/12/1292287669hawk2.jpg In all seriousness, unless you're in a free-fire zone, chest rigs are not a good idea. They draw waaay too much attention and offer no retention. The only way to "secure" it is to draw. A more classic DeSa...

Re: Which Glock to buy?

The 17 is good. The Vicker's flat trigger is the best, cheapest upgrade you can make: https://tangodown.com/vickers-tactical-carry-trigger-vtct-001-gen-3-4/ It removes ~3mm of takeup. It doesn't sound like much, but it is a notable improvement. If you run fast taps, and learn to ride the reset, the ...

Most "Tac" pens are pretty tacky, and very obvious.

Countycomm's offering is a best-of: https://countycomm.com/collections/pens ... mbassy-pen

That short window is probably the most concerning evidence of something on the officer using his knee. He was really the only officer who had a viewpoint of the mans face and he continued to do as he had been instead of rendering aid. Whether his knee caused it or not is irrelevant as at that point...

Re: Making a leather mag-pouch

Looks really good! I've found that clamping between two 1" foam pads, cut from an el cheapo camp sleeping pad, between two 1x6 sections in a vice, as first stage in wet moulding takes a good bit of the grief out of the process.
