Re: Death to Moon Clips (Maybe)

I wouldn't think so since the headspace in the cylender would control how deep the cartridge actually falls. So in the case of the LCR the cartridge actually sticks out of the back of the cylender about an eighth of an inch (roughly) when not using the moon clips. That being said, the star would on...

Re: Death to Moon Clips (Maybe)

The 547, and possibly the Mateba Medusa (IIRC) are the best examples of these. A spring-loaded extractor is really the best mechanism, as it offers least possibility for failure. I do have one of Mark Hartsthorne's conversion cylinders for my SP101, and it is phenominal! Uses them moon clips, tho'.....

Re: Genuine Mags or aftermarket?

MecGar is OEM for numerous gunmakers (Beretta and Tangfolio come immediately to mind). I have an even mix of about 10 each, MecGar and Ruger, and they all function perfectly. :coolgleamA:

Re: Interesting question involving both 1st & 2nd Amendment

too much of this is getting really, really close to "thought" crime....it's kinda scary. You can't prosecute before the crime y'all I've largely stayed out of this, because it really is a moot point. There is waaaay too much gang influence for a serious challenge to be mounted. If I have a 10" AR u...

In that case, prosecute the person if they have committed one of the crimes listed above. Association should not be a crime. Participation in gang activity, "pledging in", is a public statement of agreement and support of, the activities of the gang. If you don't believe criminal activity is a vali...

Re: Interesting question involving both 1st & 2nd Amendment

I have always wondered how gang membership could be outlawed. Some might say NRA membership should be outlawed. Interesting and I don't have an answer. You're kidding, right? Criminal enterprise in support of political change is more commonly called, "terrorism." Summary of common RICO prosecutions...

What's even wilder is the behavior of the Seattle PD.
San Francisco has been like this for years, with the LGBT orgies in the streets. Threatening violence against those videotaping the festivities. It's not new.

Re: Alligator defense question

I thought Barnes used to offer a solid copper, flat-nosed, slug, but I couldn't find them. This is probably a fair round: http://www.selwayarmory.com/buffalo-bore-44-remington-magnum-270-gr-jacketed-flat-nose-box-of-20.html or the Barnes 160 grain Hone Badger http://www.selwayarmory.com/black-hills-...

Re: Concealed holsters

OP, I didn't catch what you're carrying. If it's Glock, Spencer Keepers, based in OK, is "amply proportioned", and designed his holsters accordingly. Most makers of AIWB holsters that have a wedge or belt claw, are using variants he largely (but not exclusively) developed. http://keepersconcealment....

Re: NAA .22 Black Widow vs Folding Grip

Lol! Yes, I was serious. If you change your mind, you can always pm me. My MM is generally in my bugout bag, as third tier back up. When we go to our property in Dimebox, though, it's perfect with the mag cylinder, first round snake-shot, the next 4 Hornady XTPs, for dogs, coyotes, etc. Anything not...

You already have a holster... your front pocket!
My pockets have too much stuff in them already.
Let me do some digging. My MM may be in storage, but if not, and if I still have some kydex, I can bend you up a holster. I made an IWB, using an RCS softloop and strut set.

North American Rescue (NAR) has excellent, very complete kits. Philster recently started offering decent "pocket" IFAKs.

Re: NAA .22 Black Widow vs Folding Grip

I already have an M&P Bodyguard .380 and it fits well in my front pocket. Was more interested in a .22LR for plinking and for occasional carry . Any suggestions for other .22LRs are welcome though. Thanks. But it can't be too pricey... Like low $300s or less. Black Widow or Mini Master. You can fin...
