Re: Nominate a 357 target shooter

It depends largely on your price range, and what you expect as a "good trigger". Older S&Ws are REALLY good. Having worked on S&W, Ruger, and Taurus, I will say Ruger triggers cannot match a properly tuned S&W. Not that they can't be "really good" (I have 2), but the number and nature of contact poi...

Re: Medical Facilities

They can legally post the signs but they have no valid meaning. Do bear in mind that the facility has the right to deny care, or bar any/all visitors, if it is felt that such pose a threat to the safety and well being of 1) other patients, and 2) staff. I would venture this to be a non-issue for re...

Re: CONCEALED CARRY IWB HOLTERS

1) What are you wanting to carry? 2) Where do you want to draw from? If it's a Glock or M&P Shield, and you like the next best thing to Mexican carry, I agree with ELB- the Vanguard is hard to beat. i use mine occasionally. It's nice in that you can carry anywhere around your belt, just remember, yo...

I do hate it when males run screaming. It is most distressing.

Re: Good EDC belt??

For non-leather, Spec-Ops brand Better BDU Belt, based and made here in Tejas: http://www.specopsbrand.com/tactical-hunting-belts.html Their photography is a bit lacking, as the buckle isn't nearly big as it looks on the site. For some reason, I've found my black and olive belts to stay more rigid t...

Re: Medical Facilities

Most "Facilities" are part of a larger healthcare organization, so the organization's standards will apply to affiliated Physician Clinics. Private practices are generally an LLC or similar, and adopt office rules that, subjectively, lower liability. Very, very few docs are truly "Private" anymore, ...

Re: ‘But, Kavanaugh!’ NeverTrump’s Awakening

I agree that he has taken on several very important and overlooked issues, and I don't need him to be a saint. I find his philandering to be off putting, but i think that it's part of a larger issue of extreme narcissism . Im not sure that Trump can admit to being wrong, which could influence decis...

Re: Stoeger Double Defense O/U shotgun. Any good?

Generally, probably not. The thing is, with the ATFE, you have no way of knowing. They have authority to issue Regulations without notice, and without external input. Historical activity would indicate that ATFE would classify the Shockwave as an AOW, send formal notification to people that complete...

It isn't Texas you have to worry about. I'm not aware of any new decisions, amending/revoking this:

Re: Legit or gimmick?

I've come full-circle, coming back to using OEM springs, with a stainless rod. This is my set up (and likely to remain so)http://btguiderods.com/ I tried Sprinco, when they first came out, then again, a few years later. Sometimes good, but unless I consistently shot +P, I'd get short-strokes. Dualie...

Re: 9mm just as effective as .357 Mag. -- NOT!!!!

This really us a non-sequiter. If you're shooting a 125gr .357 @~1300fps and a 124gr 9mm at ~1300, you have equivalence in "power", so I'm unsure as to what the discussion really would be. If you're talking 9mm 115gr ball @1050 fps, vs the "standard" 125 gr .357 @~1300 fps it's totally apples to wal...

Re: New AR sight in

People set things up in different ways. I use RDs for either 10 or 25 yards, as an alternate to a 1-4x optic, or as a quicker torso-index at 50 yds. If you want faster acquisition on a ~6" target(target area inside a larger target surface) at 50, or using a a Sig-style "cover-and-kill" on a 6" disc,...

Re: i want an AK underfolder

One of the best, first, things ti do is mount a real muzzle device. I like the old Phantom-style(pretty good, before there were many options) Still decent & available for ~$25. One of the latest and greatest: https://www.primaryarms.com/krebs-custom-ak47-flash-suppressor-4-prong-14x1-thread A bit pr...
