No. Nononono. You want the Assault Wheelbarrow. And to be able to hold off the aggressors about to breach the entrance at The Gap.

This may have been the greatest hour wasted of my life.

Many thanks for the link LOL!
One of the few times in my life when I take pride in Smirnoff's "I was THERE!" I caught the beginning of Day 2, on HKPro, and killed an entire day, God forgive me. It ended up with something like 130 pages of total awesomness. Ah, the days before the socially challenged could only screech, "**** YOU!" and go sobbing off to their safe place.
But then again I think of the mayors nephew, his face distored with tears and terror, the GAP employees who asked for my autograph, and had to settle for a cover identity’s signature, the flashbangs, and their acrid scent, the small of napalm in the evening breeze, as I crouch behind a shopping cart in the parking lot, the target practice with my dearest comrades and friends, the members of my teams, and our live fire exercises-Can I leave it all behind? should I?
This is what brought it to mind. :coolgleamA: :

Crash wrote: Thu Aug 30, 2018 9:03 pm If you're at your local supermarket, big-box store, etc., recommend you always use a shopping cart, even if you're buying only a couple of small items. This has several purposes:

1 If you're carrying openly, it will prevent somebody in front of you from grabbing your gun as easily as they might otherwise have.
2 If you're carry concealed, as in AIWB, and you're afraid you might be printing, it will make it harder to see the outline of your gun.
3. If someone in front of you attempts to attack you, you can roll or shove the cart into them, giving you more time to retreat or draw your gun, whichever is most appropriate.

Comments?

Who, exactly, recommends this shopping cart tactic? If we are going down this path, the motorized scooter is probably the best path - you get a basket plus a getaway vehicle that enables one to quickly access their ankle rig while still moving.

Re: Always Use A Shopping Cart

Not bad thinking, but I wouldn't use it as an SOP.

I don't OC. My experiences just don't tend towards it, first and foremost because it draws attention.

If my CC is printing, I made poor wardrobe choices, or I got caught in a serious downpour. Most likely would be the downpour, in which case I HAVE used this idea.

A cart could be a distraction or a tool. I'd see this as pretty limited, unless you have one of the Walmart butcher knife/machete attacks that seem to pop up every few years. The same could be said of the entire shelf of Chunky Soup, if your pitching arm is decent!

Overall, I guess I'd agree that anything can be used to your advantage, just don't stop with the shopping cart. ;-)
