Without going too far into questionable territory, and noting that I have a family member who is a forensic toxicologist:

You can buy these, from China, with various, "factory markings." E.g., if you wanted to, you could grind up D-Con, bleach it a bit, and press it back into a tablet marked as Oxycontin, and it would totally pass visual inspection. Fentanyl/components is/are cheap and readily available online as well (China). People work with it every day, in illicit cook houses and like any other hazardous activity, you have to be careful. Powdered form is not the same as patches which is not the same as IV/IM solution, so within certain limits, it isn't like it will spontaneously transdermally absorb, unless it's formulated in a carrier designed to do so.

Re: Warning

Bullet-delivery is a bit , ah, out of the ordinary, but I know of a few cases last year, where what was sold on the street as oxy was mostly fentanyl. Your local fire and EMS crews would not have had enough narcan in all their trucks to reverse it. Life is hard, it's harder when you're toopid...

mojo84 wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2019 6:10 am What are you doing hanging around with people who are in possession of illegal fentanyl and loading it into hollow points? Did you contact the police?
I don't think the police want to start packing their hollow points with fentanyl ...
No, but large rifle primers in Hydra-shoks would be popular, if the medical examiners didn't get so excited...

No, many things can be successfully cached in HP rounds. 300 degrees is enough to increase an oxidative process, bur well below the boiling point of fentanyl. Cap it with a dot of silicone high-temp gasket seal, and, theoretically, you're gtg. It would not surprise me, as fentanyl is the new "cocaine", flooding in, primarily from China. Because it's cheap and hits hard, it's being sold as other things, and/or used to enhance them in cutting.

Generally speaking, homies don't even buy HPs, but someone who's business is settling arguments and smarter than the average bear could well be trying this. For widespread use, I don't see it, as increasing the lethality of assaults would be a hardcore declaration of war. Poo-bagging someone (gut shooting, so they get an ostomy) used to be a message/disciplinary tool, but killing is usually reserved for settling a specific issue, or hard boundary marking.
