I’m going to say 2033 for first reports of South African relief aid needed. Anyone care to give their year. Much sooner. 2026 or sooner. Al...

Re: CO: Aurora Police kill Homeowner that killed Intruder

A good reminder to reholster when outside or put the gun down when in your home, after threat neutralized. Police are human. They see a gun as a threat. Here is the problem. In the updated link, it shows the homeowner in a robe with a flashlight and a gun. Given that picture in the police body cam,...

Re: CO: Aurora Police kill Homeowner that killed Intruder

I can see how he got shot, but I also see a problem. Although the officer shouted to drop the gun, he never identified himself as being a police officer. The victim has just been involved in a home invasion and had to shoot an attacker. I can see his reluctance to drop his handgun without knowing i...

Re: See Clintons in Sugarland Dec 4 90% discount

It might be worth it to buy out the rest of the house, just so that they end up speaking in front of 10 people and a photographer (you). Then you can share the pictures all over the internet. Maybe it will be the silver bullet that permanently “puts them down” in politics. They'll just hang up curt...

Re: Alligator defense question

I don't know if any "carry-able" pistols would have much effect on a large gator. However the noise might scare them off or at least delay their approach until you can get out of the area. https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/model-460xvr Darn, need to buy a new gun for 'gator protection'... lol :...

Wow. Mexico is a mess. Some of the comments with that story makes one think. Edit: I just spent the last hour researching Murders in Mexico. Good Night NUrse! It is actually crazy the stuff I find. Why anyone would go anywhere in Mexico right now just escapes me. And it has the world’s most stringe...

Re: The Art of War by Sun Tzu

Honestly, its very similar to Proverbs, just at the human tier. I have read it once and need to read it again. Surprisingly short but very good as far as making you think. Also seems to have been a very early study of human psychology in warfare. Also from my understanding it is still taught at West...

Re: Require All Prohibited Places to Post

It's driven by their #1 expense, liability insurance. They're required to post. I'm still waiting to hear this from someone who actually underwrites insurance or see it in writing on an insurance plan. Its the excuse most of my previous employers have used, and yet I have extreme doubts about how t...

Re: Conceal Carry at 18 in Texas

Welcome to the Forum. You have to obey Texas laws even when carrying on another States permit. In Texas you have to be 21 to obtain a LTC or be in the military. But, interestingly, does the reciprocity agreement override the age restriction, as those under 21 may possess a handgun but not buy one. ...

Re: AR Scope Suggestions

That’s a great scope. It’s also about double what I am will or can afford to pay for a scope. But, I have considered this one for my SCAR 17. It’s a 4x32 ACOG with a .308 reticle: https://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=TA01B https://www.trijicon.com/images/product_reticles/TA01B_r...

Re: Star Telegram poll on Constitutional Carry - go vote

61 yes-39 no 3563 votes This morning, with 5,242 votes cast, the margin has narrowed to 54% in favor and 46% opposed. It seems that Brady / Moms Demanding Attention got the word out after seeing the reported extremely strong support early on. So from 9:30 at night to 8:40 this morning, 1679 additio...
