I received an email back this morning from someone at DPS stating that they didn’t need anymore information from me and that should just let the application continue to process. But, in the email it had concealed handgun license number. But when I check the status, still says background and pingerprints pending. Could that be my actual license number and system just hasn’t updated, or is it just the application number but still processing?

your application number probably turns into your license number if you pass the BG check. dont quote me on it but it would make sense.

Funny thing is since they take your most recent license picture, my ltc now has 18 year old me on it. Haha

i told them to use my drivers license photo but when i did my fingerprints they took my picture... did they do that for every1 else as well? i didnt know they were gonna take my photo so my hair was all messed up cause i had just woke up.... i hope they dont use it on my ltc...

Yes they took my picture too. But they used my license picture from when I was 18 on the actual license.

ok good cause i didnt look like me in that picture they took at identigo lol.

Still nothing on their website......no status update. Anyone else have to wait this long, just to see status on their website? I called again and the lady told me that she saw my TLC-100 in the file but not part of the application??? She was sending something to the processing team. No clue what that means.

sounds like they might have screwed something up on their end. after i submitted my fingerprints and all the documents needed, the next day my BG check was under review so hopefully that call you placed alerted them to some sort of error on their end or something. who knows...

Have you ever lived out of state? That is a factor.

i dont have any priors or jail time or medical issues that would delay my BG check. it looks like things have slowed down since January.
