That is why I train at least 200 rounds a month. I just got my license but I have been doing this for the last 6 months or so. I also had 10 years of military experience firing all kinds of weapons. Just because you have a LTC does not mean you should not train and train frequently.Jusme wrote:I hope this passes in OK. While there are those who believe that only those properly "trained" should be allowed to carry, I say, having an LTC, only means we have been given "permission" to exercise a right that should not be infringed. As others have posted, the "training" one actually receives, is pretty limited. If I had only that training, I would feel very inadequate, in carrying everyday.
I feel the same way when I hear someone say that only "trained LEO should carry guns." As a former LEO, I know exactly how little training they receive, and how little effort they have to put in to re-qualify.
Law abiding citizens, should not be restricted from carrying firearms. Period. No other Constitutional right, requires training, or special permission, to be exercised. JMHO

With the unlicensed criminals totally right.bblhd672 wrote:The untrained, unlicensed criminals are already walking around with concealed firearm...I know I don't like that, especially if I'm not legally doing the same.Tex1961 wrote:But untrained, unlicensed folks walking around with a concealed firearm... Just don't know how I feel about that.
Hopefully the OK Senate passes the bill and it is signed into law by the Gov.
