Re: Present CHL to Border Patrol?

Foreigners can get a Texas CHL if they buy a hunting license. The law doesn't require anyone to show their Texas CHL to CBP and it doesn't prove anything they need to know, so what's the point? I carry my passport card but so far they never asked for identification unless I'm actually crossing the b...

I block the offending sites by URL and IP address at the firewall. Problem solved.

P.S. Nice Zombie thread.

If we condone the Federal government violating "shall not be infringed" then what?

Re: Mall security and right to physically detain you

I may or may not comply with a polite request. It's entirely my prerogative and I have no obligation either way.

If they choose to physically assault me, that won't end well for them. One way or another.

I don't know why there's even a debate about this.

Re: Lowest CHL Price?

At my last renewal class, the instructor taught a lot of things that were half-truths or flat out wrong. I'm glad they got rid of the renewal class. Based on that experience, as long as there's a required class instead of stand-alone testing (like driving) for a new license, I suggest people take th...

:thumbs2: Why take half measures? If a guy shaves his face, he might as well wear makeup too.

Re: The Other Drone Question

My question is what are they are going to when WE start flying our own? I already have friends that fly quad-copters with cameras on them. You know if We The People flew a couple drones over the White House, the Capitol, and Camp David, that would tell us if they really believe their story that dom...

The first needs to be over the White House. Bloomberg can be second.

Re: DEM REP: IT'S TOO HARD FOR WOMEN TO USE AR-15S

The AR15 and M1 carbine are great for petite women and small statured men, so size is not the issue. The only thing that makes any sense is maybe McCarthy is one of those sexists who think cars, guns and voting machines are too complicated to women to operate.

True. At current prices, I can't even afford to replace what I own.

The person below me has an AR they owned more than ten years.

Good luck with that argument in federal gun court. It sounds safer to shoot the wolves, shovel, and shut up.

Re: Lowering CHL fees

Is it just me, or has there been a steady influx of new folks around here griping about the "high cost" of a Texas CHL? There are two popular theories. (1) In the current economic and political climate, more people are thinking about the need to defend themselves from a variety of two leg...

Re: How realistic is it for them to pass another ban?

In this day of peace I do pray that there is a middle ground of peace between us somewhere. I was always taught that if a good, honest, negotiation ended up with both sides equally unhappy the negotiation was successful, although it may not appear that way to either party. When neither party is pre...

I can. I don't know about you, so I can't answer that.
