You're probably right 99% of the time. If there is an incident, the bad guy is wounded or a bystander is injured, and you have had a beer, the BA is .01 or so, there is still room for someone to file a suit claiming you were impaired. You don't want to give them luxury. This all goes back to the first license class I had so many years ago.

Beats me, but are you suggesting it is ok to drink and carry? In my world you can get really loaded and take an Uber home, or you can be stone sober and carry with confidence. The risk you take when carrying while inebriated exceeds the value of carrying. I'm saying you can drink or you can carry, but you really shouldn't do both in the same time frame.

We all have rights. Gun ownership is an institution as is the consumption of alcohol, but in my experience, gun powder and alcohol do not mix, and if an individual makes the CHOICE to consume simultaneously with carrying, then something needs to give. Remember, we have rights, but stupid behavior trumps everything.
