Important to note though IANAL, and I still think if you decide to carry, you will probably still take a ride.

If the property is still owned by the city, the civil penalties wouldn’t apply, but you probably would be exempt from criminal prosecution under 30.06 or 30.07, based on AG Ken Paxton’s opinion letter. See below:

Does anyone know what law they use to enforce this, or is it just common knowledge? I’ve heard the same thing, it’s just interesting that they aren’t required to post signs or anything of the sort.
