Re: HR 1263 Adds semiauto rifles and shotguns to NFA 1986

Unless somebody doesn't comply with NFA already, I'm skeptical they will start, no matter what other firearms fall under that unconstitutional un-law. :iagree: Non-compliance is a cowardly act in the absence of performing a patriot act. Can someone explain to me what those two statements are suppos...

Re: What Is Your Opinion

What is your opinion on this sign as it is? I guess I walked in the door when they were open because when the doors are open you cannot in anyway see the sign. I did not see it until I was standing outside talking to someone and looked up. I wished the law was clear on these signs that appear “tran...

I thought Houston had metal detectors and wands at the gates and wouldn’t let you enter the grounds with a firearm.
Like I said, the property is owned or leased by a governmental entity, so real peace officers don't enforce 30.06 on the property, but thugs do.

Re: HB 1078 - License Fees waived for people certified to perform CPR

I got a CPR card so I could ignore 30.06 signs but waived license fees would be icing on the cake. I just got my CPR card a week ago (Going to try and go into an lvn/rn program at the beginning of the year). How does having a cpr card allow you to ignore 30.06? It doesn't. Although some people thin...

Was this previously part of a complete rifle before the lower parts were stripped out of the plastic receiver? Just checking what's on sale.

Re: Waiting time after revocation

You shouldn't have to wait the additional two years if you surrendered your LTC proactively, only if they had to revoke it under GC §411.186.

Any of his coworkers, friends and family who knew about it and didn't report it are accessories after the fact.

Re: Rodeo grounds

The rodeo is a professional sporting event. The carnival rides aren't. The carnival also isn't an "amusement park" under 46.035.

The property is owned or leased by a governmental entity, so real peace officers don't enforce 30.06 on the property. Thugs do.

Your mileage may vary.

Re: SB 1555 - Authorization to carry in a school

Seems to me to be unnecessary. Why can't the school just request to see the actual license? Because the LTC holder is under no obligation to show it outside of when ID is demanded by a law enforcement officer. And under current law, a school district is under no obligation to allow a good guy to ca...
