My $.02. Nice enough for you to be willing to help a person who you thought was injured. WHen he ran away from you and you saw two others hiding, it was time to retreat and call 911, be a good witness. Unless you are a LEO, you had no business putting yourself in that situation. No offense meant, b...

OK, let me try to externalize my thought process that happened that night: 1)see the guy in the ditch (something is wrong, is he hurt?) 2)light him up, he runs. From the cab of my pickup I followed him with the light. I think that at that instant I began opening the cab door to see the situation mor...

The main thought I had was to wear the gun. That way it comes with you automatically when you get out of your truck, and you may not have felt like you needed to draw it. If you felt you were in an ambush spot, it's best to get out of there. Sounds like you already thought thru everything else. Tee...

Help me learn...point out my mistakes in a CHL situation.

I'm going to try and make this as clear and precise as possible. Please help me to learn from my mistakes. Thursday night- 10pm My sister calls crying. She says that my nephew has had a fight with my cousin and that he needs to come home. Oh yeah, my nephew had gone to the rodeo in Houston with my c...

I graduated HS in 1994. I took a gun and hunting safety class somwhere around 1992. This class was conducted during school hours, on campus with real guns. The ag teacher took us out and shot a 12 gauge, 30-06, 44 mag pistol and several .22's. I guess you couldn't get away with that in today's polit...

thanks for the huge amount of information! I'm still processing it so there may be questions to come. I am extremely interested in competition shooting, however as I'm sure you guys know, it's not the cost of the weapon, it's the ammo costs for practice and actual competition. That is mainly why I'm...

Tomneal-I'm interested in the cost savings of reloading .45 ACP. Can you break down the price of reloading a single round of .45 FMJ? I tried to do it once, but there are so many options such as powder type, case type/manuf. bullet manuf. etc...I didn't know where to start. I'm interested in reloadi...

I didn't hear about it until yesterday. I read a post about it on ar15.com. I was shocked that I had not heard about it until then. I stay relatively informed...I watch CNN in the morning before work (I can't get fox) I listen to talk radio (700 KSEV) on the drive in to work and I browse the interne...

where did you get that she 'ran down a dog in her car while shooting at it'? I didn't get that impression from the video...I guess that just proves that two people can watch the same clip and come away with two entirely different opinions. I'm at home now and am on dialup so I'll have to wait till t...

'little dog'? It was a chow/lab mix, from the picture I would guess it ran 60lbs+ The woman documented a history of complaints regarding the dog attacking neighborhood animals, she witnessed the dog running loose, once again acting vicious and decided to end the problem. (according to her statements...

Yup, sure enough, got it back today. At least they're going through things reasonably fast. I think it's sad that we consider two weeks to notice an error in your application 'reasonably fast'! The only time we would refer to a two week processing lag as 'fast' is in the gov sector! I should ...
