The only reason my super reliable Kel-Tec P11 is no longer my BUG/Office carry, is it was replaced by my equally super reliable Taurus PT-145 in my favorite caliber. The P-11 does still do duty as the nightstand gun and it still rides in my cowboy boot cuff, in an Uncle Mikes single clip IWB on sund...

Good CHL Experience in Bad Situation

Last Sunday, I was coming around Loop 610 in Houston, after leaving the gunshow at the GRB. I had just come up on the 610 West 59 South interchange when a woman, trying to get to that exit, cut me off, forcing me into the rear of another vehicle. Wiped out the front end of my VW Jetta.....happened s...

About 3 years ago I went on Saturday and haggled over a gun I wanted but did not buy it. I went back by Sunday just before closing and got the same gun, from the same guy, for a hundred less. I'll be there on Sunday. Saturday is honey-do day anyway.

Well guys,

This is what I traded for. I miss the Smith but man do I like this CZ. It is so accurate it is scary. Great SA trigger, DA is long but no worse than my revolvers before I do a trigger job on them.

WTT Smith & Wesson 65-5

I am looking to trade my Model 65-5 for a good high capacity 9mm. This is a great gun, but my only Smith & Wesson and I am really a Ruger guy. I am not wanting to sell but trade to someone who feels the same about their 9mm hi-cap. The gun, a Tucker Heritage IWB holster, a HBE Com 3 IWB holster,...

How Do You Like Your Taurus 24/7 in 9mm???

Happy New Year to all, I was in Houston this past Saturday at the GRB for the gunshow. I was looking for an inexpensive plinking piston in 9mm and found a 24/7 on sale. I picked it up and man it felt good in my hand and I really liked the balance, and now that it is loaded I like the way it feels in...

In the past two years I have bought 4 guns from them. They are great to deal with. I always check their table first at the gunshows, like I did Saturday at the GRB.

I too have used RIG (Rust Inhibiting Grease) on all my gun for over 20 years. It has worked fine and I have never had a gun rust. They make it for regular and stainless guns. I wear a t-shirt under whatever cover garment I wear to keep the gun away from my skin.......even though all my holsters have...

I started out carrying a Springfield GI WW2 Champion that I customized, then moved to a Stainless Pre-Loaded Champion, and finally ended up with the gun I have always wanted a Wilson Combat Professional that I carry in a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. I love the balance and feel of the 4" 1911. I als...

He also plans to follow in his uncles footsteps and make the Army a carreer. His uncle started out in ROTC a...

Sons Getting First Handguns That Are Not Dad's

I went to Houston to do some Christmas shopping on Friday. I had finally worked my way down to my two sons, one 21 and the other 23, both in college. I had asked them earlier on what they wanted for Christmas this year as I was expecting a generous bonus. The younger wanted his first 1911and the old...

What's really scary, is that someday he might just follow in the footsteps of Rudy Julliani, and make a run for the Presidency. He could really apply pressure to the rest of the country to revoke the current laws of legal gun ownership and legal concealed carry...... think not!!!! Just look at what ...

tex45acp,

The greatest state in the good ole' US of A and my preferred semi-auto caliber. It was a toss up between it and tex41mag, my favorite revolver caliber. Neither is real imaginative, but they represent me and my choices.
