Re: Fort Worth Zoo vs. Texas State Fair

The city doesn't manage either location. I believe we (on the forum) concluded that if an entity leases property owned by the city, then the entity can post 30.06/30.07 signs but the signs are not enforceable. So, why is the Fort Worth Zoo's 30.06 sign enforceable? And, to add more to the discussio...

Re: Debanked

On the other hand Chase's CEO Dimon says they would not be pushed into refusing business with gun manufacturers. I canceled my Citibank card when they stopped doing business with NRA. Sound more like some lower level employees taking matters into their own hands. But I could well be wrong.

https://www.ccrkba.org/ccrkba-tells-u-of-massachusetts-keep-mascot-lose-athletic-director-2/ The above link dates to 2004, and details how such precious Massachusetts snowflakes objected to the school's symbol and wanted to strut their PC stuff. The UMass symbol is a colonial era Minuteman (white m...

Re: Utilitarian Rationale v. Basic Right to self defense

I read a few articles from the ArcDigital site. It looks like a group of leftists pretending to be conservative, while pushing the usual collectivist propaganda. Utilitarianism is an anti-religious philosophy that undergirds much of the destructive movements in modern history. :???: Disagree that u...

Re: 51% Sign Legality?

Not unless you can prove you don't speak English. Seriously though, if there is a big red 51% sign posted, it would behoove you not to be caught carrying. I have entered an establishment, and not seen any signs, until I was well inside the door, and they were posted above the bar area, of...

Re: Talking about magazines

I like to to carry my high cap clip s taped together, so I can pull them out of my assault weapon , flip over and re-insert. It reduces the chance of an accidental discharge while changing clips , and I can carry twice as many bullets with my two clips taped together method. I think I first saw this...

Or you could just carry regardless of the ineffective (legally) posting, as long as they are not wanding.

Re: Company Email - No Guns in Cars

I know a guy whose company sent out an email titled "Workplace Safety" that said unless otherwise provided by law, <deleted> workplaces include the buildings in which we work as well as the parking areas of <deleted> workplaces. This means that you are prohibited from keeping a licensed firearm in ...

Re: Company Email - No Guns in Cars

State trumps company policy, but it's worth clarifying that federal trumps state, to the effect that the same thing is not true for employee parking lots that are part of federal properties, correct? And especially Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) parking lots, where many different rules apply. Do correct ...

Re: Rescued a forlorn old girl today

Some people have all the luck. :grumble Congratulations on a good find! :thumbs2: He's had it since the early 00s I believe, this and a 9x18 Makarov that I had a choice of. While both rounds are somewhat odd, the 7.62 appealed to me more. It's a hot little round, makes a brilliant flash of light an...

Re: Suspect accused of Deep Ellum assault could face more serious charges

DALLAS - A woman assaulted in Deep Ellum this week retained an attorney who says the suspect should be facing more serious charges. Video from a bystander caught part of what happened, including what appeared to be a gun in the suspect's right hand. http://www.fox4news.com/news/suspect-accused-of-d...

Re: Rescued a forlorn old girl today

7.62 x 25? Is this ammo available, or is it like finding Sasquatch? :-) SIA This ammo is commonly known as 7.62 tokarev and like much of the former Soviet Block ammo, is pretty widely available and cheap from the bulk importers. Maybe you wouldn’t find it at Academy, but ammoman has it. I have a CZ...
