Re: Rock River Arms Entry Tactical w/3 Mags

Market saturation. Ive been trying to sell a pre ban DPMS with a cast lower. Listed it at $500, absolutely no interest. Hope you can move it I hope I don’t come across as rude by asking this because it is a genuine question, but why does anyone care if it’s a pre ban? After 2004 the term became obs...

Scott, you’re a patient man, and I salute you. :tiphat: One little thing..... in one of your earlier posts, you said that you thought that, technically , carry at professional sporting events was legal, even if unlikely because of the wanding. But in your list of prohibited places, #9 is “Stadium o...

Re: District of Columbia CCL

Good job and good luck! Do renewals require another class in DC? Yes I do believe renewals require another course but shorter, one of the people in my 16 hour class got released after 4 hours, because I believe he was renewing. The license lasts 2 years which is not long. Do you know if the range p...

Re: Feds drop restrictions on files for 3-D printing certain guns

I wonder if it may be an issue of whether helping someone finish an 80% lower is (according to ATF) being in the "business" of manufacturing a firearm This would requiring a Type 07 FFL even for a semi. Whereas making CNC instructions/software available online may be considered exporting military we...

Re: Don't need to show LTC to LEO when carrying.

So here's how the law reads: [GC §411.205. REQUIREMENT TO DISPLAY LICENSE. If a license holder is carrying a handgun on or about the license holder’s person when a magistrate or a peace officer demands that the license holder display identification, the license holder shall display both the license ...

Re: District of Columbia CCL

Thank you for taking the time to create and update this thread. I just found it today but it is a great read. You're welcome. It's kind of a new thing in DC and having followed the court decisions, I wanted to see if I could pull it off. Since I couldn't find any on line discussions of anyone doing...

Re: District of Columbia CCL

Update. Monday I went to DC Metro PD Headquarters and went to the CCW/Gun Registration Unit and turned in my application with my completed training certificate. There was a small office with a door to the hallway and a "half door" countertop for handing the documents and signing in. There were 4 cha...

Re: Voting with your feet

Tragically, we found Western New York (Rochester, Finger Lakes) to be more Conservative politically than Dallas. Many of our neighbors are left wing liberals, seem evenly distributed between native big city Texans and transplants from New York City area and Commifornia. Ya gotta get out of Dallas C...

Re: Selling to a non LTC holder

The NICS needs to post a public list of prohibited persons and keep it updated. That solves 99% of these issues if the seller is above board and not a straw purchaser. Presumably you will then require government issued ID to verify the name against NICS. Then you will not want to sell to any Smiths...

Re: Denial Letter: Failed to qualify under eligability criteria...

Thank you for the rapid reply... Charge was Theft of motor vehicle, my court document say Unauthorized use of motor vehicle Looks to me like you’re qualified. Did you submit the successful completion paperwork for your Deferral? Maybe it showed up as an arrest without disposition so they assumed yo...
