Check out Cheaper Than Dirt.....good prices and fast service. Only drawback is they are a Texas company so you have to pay sales tax.

Re: WTB: what forum should I post to

2 questions: (1) Now that I have my tax refund, I plan on helping Barry stimulate the economy by buying the handgun I've been drooling over for a long time now - a Kimber CDP II. I would prefer to save a little $ and get a good used one. Anyone have one they want to sell? (2) Is this board an ok pl...

Re: Stick-On Bifocals to Cure Fuzzy Front Sights

There are a lot of fuzzy front sights running around these days. I've been wearing contact lenses (+2.25) for years. These days, I also use reading cheaters if I'm reading anything in volume, or if the print is small. I'm sure my definition of "small print" differs from the kids' with you...

Re: ammo on sale

The Academy @ 410 and Military Dr in San Antonio was putting out boxes of Win 9mm NATO ammo. It's in a white box with black lettering that reminded me of the old boxes of generic foods. I think the price was around $13 for 50rds.

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

As Clint Smith puts it (and I totally agree with his philosophy) "I don't need a $1000 shotgun; I need know how to run the gun i've got" "The shotgun you have is the right one ... As long as you know how to use it" "The handgun would not be my choice of weapon if I knew I w...

Re: Why a Home Defense Shotgun?

At night there's no other sound like that of a person jacking a round into a pump shotgun. Any BG that hears that and still sticks around deserves to be shot.

Re: .308 Semi-Auto Rifles

Century are known as the "drunken monkeys" or "angry beavers", so I would check it out thoroughly. Put a few magazines through it at a range and if it works fine and is a decent price, go for it. If he won't let you shoot it, walk away. Thanks for the advice. Beginning to wonder...
