One thickness and just leave it in overnight, to start. Then reassess... I've rarely had to repeat a 2nd or 3rd night, and only once needed 2 bags thick. Your holster should be snug and well fitted, not too small so that it needs significant stretching.Pritchical wrote:

Just one man's opinion here... one of the many benefits of a good gunbelt is that you won't have to cinch it down super tight. I carried into my church yesterday. I usually made a habit of leaving it in the car just because it's not very comfortable to carry - (at least with my IWB holster) for long periods of sitting down. Welcome to the forum - I see this is your first post. Remember, carrying isn't meant to be comfortable, just comforting.
For the benefit of the new guy (Welcome, by the way!!) will add that with a decent, belt, holster and some experimentation with carry position- MANY/most of us have [very] comfortable rigs.

I agree with Charles- if you bring it back up it will likely come off as defensive.
Next time you see him- his reaction should tell you a lot about his feelings. If he makes nervous comments about it or is studying your belt, you'll know he is uncomfortable.
If he's cool with it, you could always invite him to the range.
