Re: Must Barrell Ends Be Threaded To Accept A Suppressor?

I just cannot think of a reason to get a silencer. I am not a hit man. :coolgleamA: After you’ve shot with one for a while, the reason becomes self-evident. You’ll never go back. They aren’t actually silencers , although that is the legal term. If it knocks 35-40 decibels off, it is still a pretty ...

Re: Parker County Deputy Shot in Foot

As I recall, it was either the P320 or the P365 that had failed drop tests soon after it’s release - and there was a big stink about it in the gun world. Maybe he had one of those, and he banged the back of the slide into a post or something as he was climbing through the fence? Who knows.

Re: Unicorn pistol

Most of the reputable manufacturers’ single-stack 9mms would fit your requirements. They each measure their guns’ widths a little differently from the others, but this should give you an idea. Glock 43 - .87” wide at the slide. Springfield XDS 9 - .9” wide at the grips. S&W Shield 9mm - .95” wide at...

Re: Lion Air Flight Data Recorder Simulation of Crash

How is it that this is the first time I'm hearing of this crash? 189 pax + crew is a lot of people, and yet I heard nothing about it on the news.....which may be my fault since I've been kind of avoiding it for a while now.

In tonight’s news, it was revealed that he had accidentally shot himself somwhow, with the BUG he was carrying in an ankle holster. They actually found the bullet in the ground at the spot where he claimed to have been hit.

The 20S comes with a super SCAR Gieselle 3.5-4.5 2-stage trigger.
Well there’s $325 of your price increase right there. Good.

I will say this, whichever one you pick, you’re going to flat love the barrel. FN makes really good barrels.

Re: SCAR 17S or SCAR 20S

You are welcome to shoot mine again when we go to the Range, C-Dub. Personally, I prefer the SCAR over the AR platform, and the 17S will be the last gun in the Safe if it came to that. Was that when you gave them the finger? I was wondering what had happened......

Whenever I see the words "Best Gun", "Best Ammo" or "Best Caliber", I typically just shake my head and do a facepalm.
:iagree:
That is one reason why I gave up reading gun magazines years ago.
You just use clips now?

Re: Best Gun for Home Defense

I’d be OK with pistol, AR, or shotgun, but my biggest fear is actually doing more damage to my hearing by discharging a gun inside my house, which is why my primary HD weapon has become a suppressed G17 loaded with 147 grain subsonics. All my ARs can also be suppressed, but they’re still a lot loud...

Re: QuikTrip hiring 'hybrid employees' who can work while armed to deter crime, keep customers safe

ELB, Yeah, I hear ya, I just don't like it. In times gone by, we had a variety of work particulars people were responsible for, yet none were referred to as 'hybrid'. To my knowledge anyway. I suppose part of my dislike for calling people 'hybrid' and their jobs, is along the lines of calling human...

TAM, Thanks for the link and other info. Very helpful. Medley, A nielson device? Invented by Leslie I assume? Ok, I kid, I kid. Never heard of a nielson device, but I'll look it up and thanks. A Neilson device - also called a Piston - is necessary for suppressing a semiauto pistol....unless the bar...

The great irony is that the LAW will afford him the same presumption of innocence that he was too willing to deny Brett Kavanaugh.

I think there is something pathologically wrong with that guy’s mental status. He looks perpetually like he has a tapeworm, and his butt itches.
