Re: What Happened Today? (Site down)

I'm not sure what happened, but they rebooted the server and that fixed the problem. Chas. Did they unplug it, count to 60, and plug it back in first? Always step one. Even when I tell the tech I have already done it. I see you know my tech guy. I run a phbBb board, and un...

Re: Switching to wheel guns this year

I own a N-frame .44, which I like a lot, but is just too heavy for all day carry. Plus I’m afraid of setting my whiskers on fire if I ever have to use it for realz. With a 5” barrel, the fireball is pretty impressive. I also own a couple of J-frame .357s - a S&W 640, and a 340M&P. Of those two, the ...

18 U.S.C. 922(y)(2).... Carl, thanks. I didn’t think of that because the “error” message I saw was different from how it was before the last site upgrade. I cleared old messages, and got bfm1851’s PM to me. PM replied to.

[1.] Federal law, 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), bans gun and ammunition possession not just by felons, illegal aliens, illegal drug users, and the like, but also by aliens who have been perfectly legally "admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa." [2.] "Possess[ing]" and "receiv[ing]" has been...

*MAYBE* WTB K98 Mauser (if the price is right)

Does anybody have a decent condition K98 Mauser they’d be willing to part with for not too much money? Allow me to explain.... In May of 2016, I bought a box of 350 rounds of 7.92x57mm “8mm” Mauser ammo from a young friend who was headed overseas to Papua New Guinea as a missionary. He was selling o...

Re: Chuck Norris

I thought I would try to revive this old thread. Chuck Norris has a diary... it’s called the Guinness Book of World Records. Chuck Norris can speak Russian .... in Japanese.... Aw, too bad... If he had been able to speak Russian in Chinese, Bob Mueller would hire him! :cheers2: Pretty sure Chuck No...

Re: Red Dot VS. Scope - choice for AR-15

Yeah, the magazine thing doesn't really concern me. I would prefer .300 BO or even 5.56 over the 9 mm, as in the time it takes a 9mm to reach a 100 yard target you can pretty much light up a cigarette and pour yourself a mixed drink :biggrinjester: I just saw a youtube video today by IraqVeteran888...

Re: Unfair to use an AR-15 against would-be burglars?

To paraphrase Jack Nicholson from "A few good men", I just wish they would say 'thank you' and go on their way. Progressives don’t know how to say “thank you”, because no matter how much you do, it will never be enough to satisfy their voracious appetite for your money. Therefore, they say “you did...

Are you sure that the “grit” isn’t in the joints of your index finger? You’re not a spring chicken, you know.
