Yep every man can choose when and or how he dies some are brave and take charge while others run away with the rest of the sheep. Only 230 grains I was thinking bigger say 750gr.
Are you sure this is where you want to go with this, with only five posts under your belt, and insulting a large part of the forum's membership, calling us sheep because we're willing to die in a pile of brass to protect our ownership of AR15s, but not willing to die over an ACCESSORY for an AR15?

I would urge you to engage your brain BEFORE engaging your keyboard. OTH, maybe your screen name is a pretty accurate description.

It seems like 265000 registered objects in a state that could go blue and is Trump's biggest source of electoral votes would matter to him.
You’d think. I can’t figure the GOP out any longer. I think that most of them are more interested in their popularity inside the DC beltway, than they interested in their popularity with their constituents.

They can ban them all they want. It will seriously tick me off, but it won’t stop me from having one if I want one. I know where to buy solvent traps, and I know how to make a suppressor. My son is a very highly qualified machinist. Making our own parts off the books is not a problem....if we have to.
:iagree:
They are not hard to make. Even easier if you have the right tools and know how to use them. :coolgleamA:

Bump stocks were not a sword to die on, are suppressors?
Bump stocks not worth dying for, suppressors not worth dying for, low round magazines not worth dying for, ammo not worth dying for, carrying a firearm outside your house not worth dying for, etc.... where do we say NO?
Everyone has to make that decision for themselves. If I my suppressors are confiscated, I lose a slight tactical advantage in a home defense scenario. If my AR15 is confiscated, I lose ALL tactical advantage in a home defense scenario. For me personally, it isn’t worth either my life, or taking some LEO's life, in order to prevent him from confiscating my suppressors if they are banned. I can easily and fairly cheaply replace them without seeking gov’t permission, and I’ll have them if/when the flag goes up. However, a ban on semi automatic militia rifles would be where I draw the line. If the national gov’t attempts to confiscate them all, then CW2 has started, and I’ll run up the Jolly Roger. I had AR15s and other tactically oriented firearms long before I ever got my first suppressor. If I have to be loud again to shoot those guns at a public range, so be it. I’d rather shoot suppressed, but I’m not going to jail over it. If the flag goes up, then all bets are off, the fedgov’t will have lost ALL legitimacy (to which it is becoming perilously close already, anyway), and I’ll feel free to use an "illicit" suppressor, mounted to an "illicit” militia rifle while helping to restore the legitimate republic. I’m getting old, and I’ve had a good life. If this is how I exit this life, then I’m OK with that.....as long as I can take some orcs and goblins with me. But a muffler for my rifle isn’t worth that price.

That’s MY personal line in the sand. But everyone has to decide for themselves where that line in the sand is.

Seriously, what’s going on with this? Has there been any response by the NRA to this?

Ordering a solvent trap if they are banned will be just like ordering those Glock auto sears off Wish.com. If you build your own, you won’t be able to use it anywhere on public.

This is not ok.

If we roll over on this, there will be more to come.
What do you mean if “we” roll over on this?
There’s no "rolling over" for me. If ATF agents show up in overwhelming force like a SWAT team to take my suppressors, I’m going to choose to live to fight another day, and not take them under fire. They can take them and leave in peace. Why? Because having already done so twice, I already know how to manufacture my own. And they work really well, too. If I see a need strong enough to warrant defying the gov’t, I will do so.

I seriously doubt that confiscating suppressors would be enough trigger to kick off a CW2. There’s only something like 250,000 active suppressor registrations right now, and - just as with firearms - a number of those are cases of one person owning multiple cans. So it’s not a big enough population to motivate an uprising. A lot of the nation's 100+ million gun owners will say that a suppressor ban doesn’t affect them, and they won’t commit to a struggle over something that affects less than 1/4 of 1% of them. It’s going to take something like a national level confiscation of all semiautomatic rifles to trigger a CW2.....and THAT would be the kind of need that would motivate me to manufacture a suppressor in secret. Because at that point, federal law enforcement no longer has any legitimacy. In fact NOTHING about federal gov’t has any legitimacy at that point. When it turns upon the people, it becomes our duty to abolish and replace it.

Re: Trump: Banning Suppressors?

President Teddy Roosevelt owned a suppressed rifle, which he shot regularly at his home on Long Island (NY). I'd cite that example to anyone who objects to suppressors.

https://www.guns.com/news/2012/05/18/nr ... model-1894
Chiefly purposed for varminting on and around his property, Roosevelt had it modified and suppressed with a Maxim silencer, as to be kind to his neighbors. “The President’s rifle comes with the usual Roosevelt bells and whistles—the crescent buttplate, no raised check piece, as well as a little something extra; a threaded barrel. Yes, you guessed it, Roosevelt’s ’94 Winchester comes with it’s very own suppressor.”
