I have a local Texas friend who has gone to Richmond to join the rally tomorrow. He said that information is circulating that 7 bus loads of anti-fa will arrive tomorrow wearing MAGA hats and NRA gear. Northam warned that he wasn't going to let this rally turn into another Charlottesville but this scenario, minus the Pro gun clothing is exactly what happened there.
I guess we'll see tomorrow if that information is accurate or just another circulating conspiracy theory. I'm hoping my buddy will share live videos of the event. If he does and I can share them, I will. I trust his version of what is happening more than the media.
I ran across this article this evening:
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/0 ... ond-rally/
Major Antifa Website Publishes Pro-Gun Op-Ed From Virginia Resident Planning to Attend Richmond Rally
Now, I don’t know if Gateway Pundit has been sucked into a hoax or not, but I
do know that there are factions of AntiFa that are very much pro-gun rights. They believe in those rights because—rightly or wrongly—they recognize that the kind of revolutionary makeover of the country that they want is not possible if The People (themselves included) cannot be armed. In that regard, they are not only like us in believing that private ownership of arms preserves the right of revolution described in our Declaration if Independence, but for the same kinds of logical reasons. They just want a different set of
results than we do.
I’m NOT defending AntiFa. In fact, I can’t stand them. But what I am saying is that, on gun rights, they
partially get it. I ALSO wholeheartedly believe that, if they were ever victorious in their quest, one of the very first things they’d do upon taking power would be to outlaw gun ownership for everyone else, so as to cement their changes.
