SB1164 passed on a 19 to 12 vote with one amendment exempting "teaching" hospitals.

I can't understand Senators in districts with major universities bowing to liberal academia that will never vote for them anyway (for the Republicans anyhow). And students are pretty much split on the issue of campus carry and most don't vote, so that can't be a reason.

Here's the Reader's Digest version. It will no longer be unlawful for CHLs to carry into school buildings; Universities will not be able to expel students who are CHLs for carrying, nor can they fire employees. They can regulate, but not prohibit, the storage of firearms in school housing. Private schools can still opt out.scott_dfw wrote:So if I may ask...
