Re: Should we abolish the Electoral College?

Here’s the bottom line: if you want NY and CA to have the authority to lawfully disarm you here in Texas, then amend the Constitution to remove the Electoral College. Not only do I NOT want to see the EC abolished, but I would very much like to see CA & NY expelled from the Union. :iagree: Expel th...

Re: TX: How to dispose of your bump stops in Houston

Jumping back to the beginnings of this thread and "the fear of being the test case" comments: I suspect there are more than a few who would volunteer to be "the test case" if someone else was bearing the cost of "the test case". You reckon?

Texas CPS takes kids out of deplorable living conditions all the time. I don't see how this is any different.
You're aware of Texas using SWAT teams and kicking down doors to remove kids all the time? Were this family's kids having to live in deplorable conditions?
Good point!

The arguments for 'bump stocks' remind me of the various ads/need for magnum condoms. :woohoo

Re: Speaker Bonnen's betrayal of Texas gun-owners

I'm glad that Mrs. Oldgringo and I were able to freely observe our 77th birthdays last month. The whole republic, including Texas, is going down the toilet. We shouldn't be around to see the septic tank pump out...if there is one.

Good luck, y'all. :txflag:

Re: Long renewal wait?

Mrs. Oldgringo went 160 days because some pencil-neck, DPS dork wouldn't accept the four different submitted fingerprints (over 160days) on her first application. A call to her State Senator got her first CHL in less than a week. This was some 12 years ago. We're both now carrying our third CHL lice...

I don't understand the apparent fixation on Whataburger. They are not even our second fast food choice. :biggrinjester:
What's your first fast food choice? Dairy Queen? :cheers2:
We like Legends and given a choice between Whataburger and Taco Bell, we'll go to Braums.
