I suspect Walmart will probably re-access its policy of allowing such activities in front of its stores. As they ended up with another black eye just for being a good corporate citizen.
So if a parent was there and was a CHL. Being that it was the middle of the day. Could that person have legally drawn their weapon and/or fired to prevent the robbery?
1. Could they have drawn and fired? "Yes".
2. Could they have gotten away with it? "No".

I have read threads on this very forum discussing the merits of shooting a bad guy to get your valuables back. I am not saying I think it is a good idea or bad idea, mind you. I am just saying I believe a person might be "legally" covered in a shooting in this situation.
