Re: Pray for me

Friends, I am bringing this thread back to the top. After a long, and difficult time, my situation is finally complete. After a long, trying time, the divorce has granted. From this experience I realize that I never really knew what kind of woman I had been married to for over 15 yrs. But that chapt...

WTB S&W J Frame Snubbie

I've decided that I cannot ignore the call of the snubbies, and now in the market for one. I'd like to restrict this WTB request to S&W snubbies only. At the last gun show in Ft. Worth, they (S&W .38+P) were selling for $399 brand new at AJ's table and I came VERY close to buying one, but ch...

Pray for me

Gentlemen, it is with a heavy heart that I come in here, and ask for your prayer. Tonight, I watched my wife and children pack up and walk out the door. After 15 years, our marriage is over. I admit that , while I am a religious man, I have not be a strong practicer of my faith. It is in this deepes...

Re: Supreme Court to look at 2nd again

The way I see it, this will drift from being a gun rights issue, to more of a states right vs federal right issue. Sure the issue at had is related to guns, but the larger issue is can the federal government force states to change their laws. While gun ownership will be a core tenet, I think alot of...

Re: CHL Shooting at a gas station. (DFW)

I read the article, and in it, they said that Steve Griffen flashed a gun and "said" that he had a license to carry the gun. Anybody can say that they have a license to carry a gun. Was it actually confirmed that he did indeed have a CHL? Also, the article didn't say that the other person ...

What firearms/calibers are the criminals using?

So I was reading a post on seized guns, and srothsteing made a really informative post about the quality of guns that are seized by law enforcement. That got me to thinking about what are the bad guys using? I read a long post on another site (can't remember which) from a mortician and his experienc...

Re: Change in Zip

does anyone have an update from DPS on this? The post office changed my Zip code due to growth issues, and I have already changed my DL/CHL to reflect just to be safe. I recieved both them last week. However, my father in law (who also lives with me) has not changed his CHL and from what I can tell,...

Re: Walther PPK???

What does S&W have to do with Walther? :headscratch US distributor. Actually S&W is more than a distributor. They actually make the Walther PPK. They bought the license from Walther and are the current producers the PPK. If you look at the product description page for the PPK http://www.smi...

Re: Seen the sign at 7-11 that has a pistol with a slash mark?

Definitely don't ask at 7-11 or you'll get oral notice. In fact, it might be best to avoid supporting 7-11 with your money at all. They're on the NRA's list of "most prominent national corporations that have lent their corporate support to gun control initiatives or taken position supporting g...

Re: Shot in home.

Add another notch for the good guys! What I like about this article (aside from the outcome), is the wording. Quotes from the story "A teenager fought back against a person who broke into his northwest Houston home" "He saw the guy's in there with a gun and he did what he had to do .&...

Question, will the same calendars committee in the House (that drug their feet on get it finally scheduled) be the same one that schedules this bill coming from the Senate?

Also, I'm curious to see if this will put some pressure on the Corp. of Engineers to change their policies. While I like the National Park, I think Corp. of Engineers affect more people in Texas than National Parks.

Re: An about face in Congress on the National Park Bill

It just passed the House and is on the way to Obama's desk! He's already stated his intention to sign it and I have little doubt he'll change his mind. Another win for gun rights. :cheers2: :hurry: :patriot: :thumbs2: :anamatedbanana :txflag: :thewave Quote from this story http://www.msnbc.msn.com/...

Oh, and there is a corresponding poll that goes with the artilce. It is currently in our favor, so spread the word to keep it that way http://www.newsvine.com/_question/2009/05/19/2838754-should-loaded-concealed-guns-be-allowed-in-national-parks" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
