Re: Prayers For My Mom

Prayi't ng for all involved. I had to deal with the same thing a few years ago. The way we handled it was we got Mom and Dad to agree to live with my brother for a few weeks when Dad came out of rehab after a hospitalization but wasn't functional enough to go home. They ended up liking that "tempora...

Somebody please buy this before I jump in my truck for an Amarillo road trip, where upon my return, that pretty Kimber will have to surgically removed.
That's a small price to pay for a gun that nice.

After a good cleaning I'm sure it would still work fine.

Re: R&R holsters BEWARE

I’ve used concealment xpress with great success. They can be ordered off amazon. Adjustable can’t and retention. That’s what I bought first for the 365. But they square off the muzzle area and I always have to round it off a little to make it comfortable so it doesn’t poke me I'm a fan of Concealme...

Re: Sig Sauer P365

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago. As others have noted, with the right holster it's a perfect pocket carry gun that doesn't compromise on caliber or round count. I have an Alabama Holsters pocket model on order. My XDS would get the boot but it's in .45 and there are times when I prefer that ca...

Re: DFW Way Out West Breakfast

Lonestar Guns Gallery and Gear in Weatherford has a very nice indoor range at the I20 east service road and Tin Top Road off I20 exit 408. Its also got a very well stocked gun and accessory section. Warning: guns are a bit pricey there. Manny's is at I20W exit 415. To get to Lonestar head west on I...

DFW Way Out West Breakfast

The DFW West / Southwest breakfasts held every other month in the Weatherford area have been growing and in that thread it has been proposed that we start a dedicated western breakfast that meets monthly on a Saturday that doesn't conflict with the more established breakfasts. I propose starting a m...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Here's another thought: Those western members who have decided not to make the drive to Arlington could meet at Manny''s every month since that wouldn't be conflicting with those who would meet at Rudy's. Your thoughts? If I remember correctly, and that's pretty "iffy", the original inten...

It's a classic.

Another is "The Anti-Gun Male" by Julia Gorin; less clinical, much more withering: http://www.jewishworldreview.com/julia/gorin030802.asp
Both articles are definitely worth the read - thanks!

Due to my alternating weekend schedule it won’t be possible for me to make the S/SW breakfast again until October.

If I can make it in October I’ll just check here and see where y’all are gonna be.
We'll miss you over the summer but will look forward to seeing you more in the fall and winter.

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

The 9 of us that attended this past Saturday: Excaliber, jusme, C-dub, hackjob, diesel42, SigM4, strogg, bitterclinger, and myself. Since this has been our highest attendance in quite some time, shall we return to Arlington Rudy's in July, or give Manny's another shot? SIA I'm all in for Manny's if...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

The meeting at Manny's Cafe was a rousing success, except for the unfortunate absence of one dislocated member who made a last minute decision to attend and tried to come, but hadn't followed the series of posts on change of venue. We missed his participation and hope to see him next time. As C-dub...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

The crowd was certainly smaller this morning. Me! I stayed until 8:30 and no one else showed up. Where were you? We were all at Manny's. Nine of us were the big crowd there. I thought it was still at Rudy's. I had not been in about 3 months. Where is Manny's? Here's a copy of the venue change remin...
