Re: 2A Interview with popular magazine

^^That reminds me of another one. In reference (ostensibly) to "assault rifles", you hear a lot of "These are weapons of war that are designed to kill!! Citizens have no right to own them!!!" hysteria. Well, if "weapons of war" is the standard, virtually every firearm was originally designed to be ...

Re: Truck broken in to, pistol stolen...I’m mad at myself

When I drive to the airport, I use a secured off site parking lot (Parking Spot) to manage that risk.

It's also cheaper than parking at the terminal.

Re: Wife Sick with Cancer.

I am so sorry to hear this latest news. Like when we lost my mom to pancreatic cancer two years ago, you know that there's not much time left and to treasure what is given to you. Your wife and you will both be in my prayers.

Re: Carrying your license to carry

Charles, That brings up a follow on question only a lawyer or an English major could love: If you open carry in your car, couldn't it be argued that you are effectively carrying under your LTC because you can't legally do so without one, but you would not be carrying under LTC in the same circumstan...

Re: Grapevine mills mall gun friendly 1/1/16?

Excaliber, Do you think on-line purchases are killing malls or ...? Thanks! That is certainly one of the biggest factors. Others include: - High mall prices - Crowds (although this is less of an issue than it used to be) - Crime - Mini riots among groups of teens The other big factor is that there'...

It's because malls are dying.

Re: my mother-in-law

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

You did all anyone could possibly do for her, and her release from her suffering is a blessing even though you will mourn her loss.

Prayers sent for her, you, and all your family.

Magazine Limits and Per Incident Shot Averages

This police shootout video [/url] illustrates that the "average" number of shots per encounter is meaningless if your encounter is not average. Consider how much more challenging a situation like this would be with a revolver or small capacity magazine. The video also shows the altered mental state ...

Re: 16 year old daughter pocket knife/ pepper spray

Is your daughter a ninja or trained knife fighter? If not, the chances of it getting taken away from her and used against her are higher... They say the same things about handguns...so why bother carry anything? :iagree: My daughter, is not a "trained" knife fighter, I have shown her a few t...

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

The physical evidence from powder stippling (which will indicate the distance between the deceased and the gun when it was fired), the trajectories of the fired rounds, the locations of the shell casings, the results of the blood test on the officer, and the audit trails from the locks will go a lon...

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

From all the information I've seen so far, I see this tragic situation as having two major causal factors: 1. Fatigue from a 14 or 15 hour shift serving warrants at night - a dangerous duty that takes a higher toll on the officer than routine patrol does. ' 2. A "Can I shoot him" deadly force decisi...
