Re: Kimber 1911 .22 Rimfire Adapter Kit - $295
It should work with any standard full size 1911 frame. You just need to remove the slide stop and the original slide assembly, put the rimfire adapter on the frame, and replace the slide stop. The Annoyed Man wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 7:02 pm Out of curiosity, is this Kimber-specific, or will it function in say a Springfield?

Re: WLP Resigning, Effective 31-JAN-2024
To be clear, I haven't spoken against the NRA, which I have supported all my life and am currently a patron member. I spoke out against the apparent corruption that has victimized every member of the NRA. Every member should be enraged about what WLP's trial has revealed, and major changes must be m...

Re: WLP Resigning, Effective 31-JAN-2024
This is no time for timidity, and I will share my honest thoughts. I am totally disgusted at what to me looks like deep corruption of the NRA leadership and board members who appear to have allowed, facilitated, and concealed the apparent wanton self serving behavior of the NRA officers, its legal c...

Re: NM: Hand gun with trigger pulled by Alec Baldwin in rehearsal kills one injures one
The question the FBI should have attempted to resolve is whether or not there was any way the gun could have fired while being held in one hand without pressing the trigger. Whether or not it could fire if dropped or beaten with a hammer is irrelevant to the circumstances being investigated. There a...

Mountain Lion Encounter
This would have been another "hiker mauled by mountain lion" story but it ended differently because the intended victim was prepared and willing to defend himself:

Re: Don’t go to your door at night with a gun in your hand in Harris County
Going to the door with a gun in your hand is a bad tactic anywhere. If you're not going to use a Ring doorbell or other intercom system from somewhere else in the home (best tactic), keep the gun concealed and speak through the door until you establish that the visitor(s) is someone you want to let ...

You will see a spectacular improvement in startup time and responsiveness with an SSD, regardless of the chip.

Re: Mattress - WAY OFF TOPIC
We didn't buy the high end TempurPedic model but we're still very happy with ours. The prices are high but not out of line with other premium mattresses that don't last nearly as long. They also run frequent sales with large discounts. Here's one that's good until Monday: https://www.tempurpedic.com...

Re: Mattress - WAY OFF TOPIC
For my money, TempurPedic is the way to go. My wife has had multiple back surgeries and it's the only mattress she can comfortably sleep on. Be aware that not all "memory foam" products are alike. I've used "memory foam" toppers on guest beds and they're good for about 2 years. T...

Re: NRA Endorses Dade Phelan
Canceled my life membership with the NRA, yes, that how strongly I feel about their endorsement of Phelan. Will switch to GOA. Seems rash, but, I'm sorry to see you go. It will eventually, hopefully soon, be members of conviction that can make change for the better. I plan to let my Benefactor memb...

Re: Spare magazine owb at posted business
Back in the 1980’s there was a study among hardened criminals. If I remember something to the effect that if they seen a policeman standing guard and he had changed out his grips on his service revolver from the stock grips they moved on down the road. The thought was if the police had changed out ...

Re: Spare magazine owb at posted business
And continued discussion circles back to mostly and usually. And yes, most criminals are cowards and usually they are looking for the quick and safe for them score. And in those mostly usually cases open carry may be just the thing to cause them to go down the street and ply their trade among a dif...
