Re: NM: Hand gun with trigger pulled by Alec Baldwin in rehearsal kills one injures one

The question the FBI should have attempted to resolve is whether or not there was any way the gun could have fired while being held in one hand without pressing the trigger.

Whether or not it could fire if dropped or beaten with a hammer is irrelevant to the circumstances being investigated.

There are two possibilities here:

- The FBI sabotaged the case to the benefit of Alec Baldwin

- The current FBI firearms lab, which used to be a top notch outfit, is now just another part of Chris Wray's clown show.

Alec Baldwin has no doubt completed his safety training before restarting the production of "Rust."

The proof is in the picture of him handing a shotgun to another cast member in this article.

Now my question that I still have is WHY has there not been criminal charges?
My guess is that the sheriff's office wants to be absolutely positive it has all its bases well covered before coming out with a charging decision in this closely watched case. I'm sure they're also getting lots of pressure from both directions.

However, even taking all this into account, what looks like a slam dunk case is taking an awfully long time to move forward with publicly available information.

The holdup may be that they want to charge everyone with criminal involvement at once - and there may be several of them with levels of culpability that may be difficult to unravel.

Baldwin does some acting while being interviewed for Television, sobbing that he didn’t pull the trigger.

Uh huh.

Sounds like a company that only does prop bullets with a special stamp on them, had some of there brass picked up and reloaded by someone else. Those were mixed with the blanks.

Armorer had only one job.
The case head stamp wasn't unique to prop bullets. Starline brass is made for reloaders and can be bought and loaded by anyone.

This analysis makes a pretty cut and dried case for the involuntary manslaughter charge if the actual facts turn out to be as we understand them at this point.
