Re: No longer patronizing Jason's Deli.

Sorry. I searched and searched but couldn't find the "Post by Date". Besides, I drove by the place days ago and noticed the NEW sign months after I originated the thread.
You are making me cranky, stop it.

Re: No longer patronizing Jason's Deli.

I drove by the same Jason's the other day and noted a new sign (Unlicensed possession of...). I was quite pleased and plan on revisiting soon.

Re: No longer patronizing Jason's Deli.

IMHO, those little things that we tend to let slide for whatever reason all add-up to a culture of, "Gee, I wonder why nobody does anything about that", and, "Wow, how did everything end up this way"?

I am glad that those radicals back in the late 18th century didn't feel that way.

Mike from Texas wrote:Well if you are going to not patronize there any more over a non binding sign, then you might as well stay home. Almost every place of business has either the ghostbusters sign or one of the "unlicensed carry" signs in there.

If it were a legal 30.06 I would understand. I just smile at the others knowing they don't apply to me.
Fortunately that is not the case. Now that I have my CHL I find myself perusing every doorway I enter for signage...

It is my choice whether or not to patronize. That choice is not always based simply on gun-signs.

I would also like to state that in my opinion, doing nothing about the whole issue is not the right thing to do.

Lonestar 48 wrote:Purple, the only other thing you might do would be to get an email address for that store or their corporate office and voice your reason for not eating there. I think until we do more of that, many businesses won't have a clue about the impact of their ways concerning legal firearms on their bottom line. I know I always feel better when I don't frequent some store or restaurant with whom I don't agree policy wise, but I feel even better when I let them know the why. Sometimes I even get a response!

Some of the posters in this forum already do this, but we should get more of us to do it.

Good idea, sir. I just sent an e-mail to their corporate folks. If I get a response, I will advise.

No longer patronizing Jason's Deli.

I was walking into my local Jason's Deli the other day with my brother and his wife, when I noticed a sign next to the entrance with the ghostbusters thingie over a pistol that in effect, said,

"Firearms prohibited".

I pointed the sign out to my brother and his wife, stated that I would no longer be patronizing that establishment and we went elsewhere. No argument from either of them. They fully agreed.

I don't care if the sign is legal or not. They obviously don't need my business/patronage.
