Re: Swapping pistol sights

There are different sizes depending on brand and model. The height can make it shoot high or low depending on the size in relation to the stock one. It could also shoot right or left if the rear sight is not centered.

Re: Best beginner reloading manual?

Like many others I learn best visually. I know RCBS has a video series on reloading and I’m sure others do too and their videos along with manuals were extremely helpful. It’s even more helpful if you have a friend that’s experienced with loading that can help.

Re: Residential Security Door Suggestions?

. I’m not a big fan of “out-swing” doors. To open the door, you’ll be forced to cross the threshold and risk further exposure It give BG’s a potential place to hide behind when opening the door. I don’t need to cross any threshold to open my door and I’ve got a camera on my front door so there’s no...

Re: Residential Security Door Suggestions?

Outswing is a terrible idea. When no one is home a cordless grinder with a cutoff wheel and about 2 minutes and you have the hinges cut off and you are in the house. When you’re not home they could kick in an Inswinging door in 5 seconds so what’s your point? Besides, I’ve yet to read a news story ...

Re: Residential Security Door Suggestions?

Buy front doors that open outward, this prevents them being kicked in. Also use non removal hinge pins so the pins can’t be pulled from the outside unless the door is open. Use long screws to secure the door. You can get hinge pins which have a set screw on the inside. One of the simplistic ideas i...

Re: Applying for FFL in Austin, TX

I am getting ready to send off my paperwork for my FFL 07. I have struggled with the city and decided for an 07 since I am not zoned to have customers technically, so I figured manufacturing would be the easier way to go. Does anyone have an experience with this? Also, will the ATF IOI be contactin...

Re: Applying for FFL in Austin, TX

Have a letter from your HOA stating they know what you plan on doing and they agree. I would have a letter from the city stating the same thing as well as references to the local ordinances so you can prove you aren’t violating anything. My initial IOI didn’t check either, the next IOI called my HOA...

It is one of my favorite books. One man in his backyard can rain down Justice with his Rifle! :tiphat:
Yep, it would be hard to duplicate that today but he was pretty effective in his retribution.

Re: Gen 1 Glock 27 Value

Ive seen gen 1 17’s fetch a premium. Never seen the subcompacts do it. Same here, especially now that everyone is running away from .40 I'm not surprised. That's in line with what I expected to find until my friend suggested I look into it further. I’d keep until I found the right buyer that will g...

Re: Jack Hinson's One Man War

I read that a couple years ago, it was an interesting story. He was a good marksman with that custom rifle. :thumbs2: The topic is from 2010 and bumped by a one-post-wonder with a spam link. At least they picked an interesting topic. I surf this board exclusively from my phone and use the “new post...
