Re: What qualifies as a valid home address?

Problem solved! My friend says I can sleep in her garage in my car once every few days, use her spare bathroom and take a shower there, and also have any mail delivered right there at her house. I could call that my home address until I get that apartment I'm waiting for. I am also pre-qualified for...

Re: What qualifies as a valid home address?

For purpose of clarity, I have lived in Texas for 12 years, and obtained my Texas license and LTC within months of moving here from Arkansas. I may also let my lady friend accept all my mail, which is very little, and stay parked in her garage about once a week. I think that would qualify me as a re...

Re: What qualifies as a valid home address?

With a year to plan, why wouldn't you be able to find a new place to live? Seems like you could have already been on the wait list for the other place... and maybe moved mid year. For that matter, there may be other options nearby that fit your budget. I haven't seen a Subaru yet that had a shower ...

What qualifies as a valid home address?

I just signed a new 12-month lease at my apartment complex against my wishes. Massive rent increase, plus several new fees, but no vacancies at apartment complex I would move to if I could. In 12 months, I am planning on living out of my Subaru Outback until a vacant apartment is available, which wo...

Re: Selling to a non LTC holder

Something to think about: A friend of mine in Arkansas sold or traded a handgun to a dealer at a gun show. A few years later, the BATF rang his doorbell and asked him if he ever owned that handgun. He told them he got a receipt when he sold it. After showing them the receipt, he asked, "is there a p...

Re: Pocket holster suggestions?

Mika is the best. I carried a hammerless Taurus titanium .38 snubbie in my front pants pocket for 13 years, and no one ever noticed it. It was also super easy for a quick draw, and the holster always stayed put.

Re: Light weight summer shirts for concealed-carry

Last summer, I bought some Plains Western Wear shirts at Walmart, in my regular size. They are not square cut on the tails, but slightly rounded. I have a black plaid and a dark navy, and am hoping to buy some more soon, if I can find them. The features I like most is that they're wash and wear in c...

Re: Safariland 6376 ALS Concealment High Ride Belt Slide Holster

Oljames, you're probably correct. On first glance, I thought the screw heads had a round hole, but it appears to be a very small hex head hole. The wrench supplied with the guard is too large to fit, though, but I have a whole set of hex wrenches. Even the video on uTube shows the ALS guard installe...

Re: Safariland 6376 ALS Concealment High Ride Belt Slide Holster

Perhaps I overly complicated my OP. My only concern is whether or not the screws on the unique high ride belt clip are even removable, so I can install the ALS guard. I have the guard in my possession, but not the holster; perhaps I should have waited until I received the actual holster before posin...

Safariland 6376 ALS Concealment High Ride Belt Slide Holster

Has anyone ever seen one of these up close? I've seen the Safariland video about this holster, but it really doesn't clarify my main question: It appears that the optional ALS guard may not work with this holster, because the photos I've seen appear to have three screws on the belt slide that are no...

Re: Help with wife

A few years ago, I was married to an intellectually brilliant 2nd grade school teacher (now deceased), who had never even held a gun. Our rural house had been burglarized while at work, and we discovered her beloved Yorkie roaming loose in the house, instead of being pinned up in the utility room. W...

Re: Brass Cleaning

When I was reloading back in the 1970s-1990s, I had a Lortone Rock Tumbler, and used crushed walnut hulls with jeweler's rouge mixed in with the hulls. I don't remember where I got the jeweler's rouge in a bottle. You could also buy the hulls with jeweler's rouge already mixed into them online or at...

Re: Shirt Dilemma

I never have that problem, probably because my holster has a 15° forward cant, which tilts the butt of the gun away from the back of the seat.

Re: Motorcyclist Crashes and shoots self

my first question was why was he carrying a .22? my 2nd question was why holster did he have. my 3rd question is why do people ride motorcycles? my cousin almost lost her life less than a month ago. crushed her ankle. road rash all over her arm and leg. she bit a hole thru her tongue. the fact that...

Re: Selling handgun?

Personally, I wouldn't sell a handgun to anyone under 21 or who is not a bonafide resident of Texas.
