I would love to carry a collapsible baton in locations where I can't carry my gun. If I had to defend myself without a firearm, I would much rather do so with a baton than a knife.
Or pepper spray, for that matter.

Podcast series on 2nd American Civil War

This has something to do with guns and/or self-defense, as well as prepping, politics, and interesting lunch-time listening. I'm referring to a recent podcast series on potential civil conflict in America: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/1119-it-could-happen-here-30717896/ . The creator, Robert Evans...

Re: TAM In The Hospital

Going home! I’ve just gotten the official discharge notice from the doctor, had the IV line pulled out, and packed my stuff. Waiting for the final paperwork to sign, and for a nurse with a wheelchair. Good bull (although the *final* paperwork will be arriving in the mail for the next ten weeks from...

I was thinking they accepted this particular case because it would have a very narrow impact and not the broad impact of Heller or McDonald!

Re: Trump is the last Republican President

Permanently extreme outcomes are usually not realistic. Even semi-socialist countries in Europe will occasionally elect a Conservative party candidate when the conditions/personality are right.

I find the non-falsifiable aspect of this kind of social "science" disturbing (read in a James Earl Jones voice).

Re: Utilitarian Rationale v. Basic Right to self defense

I read a few articles from the ArcDigital site. It looks like a group of leftists pretending to be conservative, while pushing the usual collectivist propaganda. Utilitarianism is an anti-religious philosophy that undergirds much of the destructive movements in modern history. :???: Disagree that u...

Utilitarian Rationale v. Basic Right to self defense

This is a year old, but interesting. The article highlights that both utilitarian reasoning AND basic right to life support gun ownership/carry policies.
