Re: FS: 9mm pistols NIB

Question for anyone: I believe only one side of a shipment (sender or receiver) needs to be FFL. Is this correct? Neither one of you are shipping inside Texas. Outside of Texas it needs to be shipped to a FFL, but can come from a private party. So intrastate it could be individual to individual? I ...

Re: Shadow Systems MR 918 Elite

I had the wonderful privilege honor and of meeting Richie and Trevor at Shadow Systems in Plano today. It was one of the greatest times I have spent with people other than family at church. Both of these guys today were upstanding and awesome to deal with. Their customer service is out of this world...

Re: RDS v. Iron Sights: Not just for old blind guys

I have a friend with a Shadow with a Holosun on it that I got to play with today. Can't say I like the sight at all, I was all over the board with it and my eye focus problem kept wanting to find the iron sights. At this time I will stick with my iron sights. Did they have a CZ Shadow 2? Milled the...

My favorite everyday carry: https://www.giholsters.com/product-p/hst1490.htm Church going favorite: Just tell Tim you want it cut for RDS and higher NS sights if needed. https://www.ttgunleather.com/product-page/snap-removable-pancake https://www.ttgunleather.com/product-page/owb-single-mag-holder-c...

Re: RDS v. Iron Sights: Not just for old blind guys

I also have the Sig XCarry with Romeo 1 that I like also. I just like the Shadow Systems a little more. The RMR sets a little lower on the rail and helps me to pick up the dot quicker.

I get a full grip on the pistol before unholstering and with the flat back strap in comes to target every time.

Re: Shadow Systems MR 918 Elite

I bought mine brand new for $549.99. The RMR was extra. I consider by the time you bought a Glock and fixed it the way you wanted it that it would be more. withe Shadow Systems the cut for the RMR is low enough you can use the night sights that come with the pistol so no extra purchasing of Supresso...

Re: Shadow Systems MR 918 Elite

Not a good picture and I removed the mag well because of my large hands. Added a RMR and I carry it in a Garrett Silent Thunder STX 2.0 (OWB). Most of the time. Sunday’s I wear a TT Gunleather like below. Different pistol pictured, same holster and mag holder. https://imgur.com/a/G2hVXNE Shadow Syst...

Re: Red Dot Sights Co-Witness

It seems like the two most favorites for defense pistol is the aTrijicon RMR and the Delta Point Pro. I have a Romeo 1 on a Sig P320 X Carry/Compact. It seems to work just fine. I am not one that beats them on the wall or 2x4’s etc.... I have racked it several times on my holster or belt.

Re: Red Dot Sights Co-Witness

I don't have a red dot on a pistol but I do on a couple of ARs. On the ARs I have flip up sights that are absolute but I don't run them at the same time. If I loose the RD then the BUIS pop up in the middle of the tube and all looks fine. On a handgun I don't want the stationary iron sights to be i...

Red Dot Sights Co-Witness

I have been using a RDS on my pistol now for a few months. There is a lot of great information in Mr. Cotton’s thread. If you have not red it you should. https://texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=98229&hilit=Red+dots I didn’t want to take anything away from his thread, but I have a question and...

Re: RDS v. Iron Sights: Not just for old blind guys

My suggestion for those trying out pistol red dots is to give it time. I was less than thrilled with the first couple of range trips. I've decided to stick with the red dot for the next six months and I'm finally starting to turn the corner after about 700 rounds. Absolutely correct. It takes time ...
