Dallas has a new police chief. Anyone know about her 2a stance?

Hello! Long time, no post!

Apparently, Dallas now has a new police chief, Ulysha Renee Hall. She comes as deputy police chief from Detroit.

I know nothing about her, and didn't see any real info online about her. Anyone have any good (or bad) news to share?

Weird "NO FIREARMS" sign at Bratonia Park, Princeton

Saw this sign over by the drone/RC area at Bratonia Park in Princeton: I was open carrying at the time, and just put my stuff in my backpack "just in case." I dont see any reason why this sign is legit, or would apply to a CHL or other license to carry, but due to the proximity to Lake Lavon, I figu...

Re: LAPD warns of response delays

Meh, these stories come out of california every time the police union wants something. Its mostly scaremongering for the union to get something it wants.

Re: California Wants to Ban Encrypted Smartphones

I think people are getting confused over data on the cellphone, vs records that can be found via the carrier. If I sent a text to Obama saying, "I'm going to kill you" then sure, T-mobile can find that text even if I destroyed my phone. Now, if I had video of a crime being committed on my phone, but...

I really hate what the Left has become.

Y'all were right about many of them, and that makes me sad.

Thanks, Democrats. As liberal as I might be on non-gun related issues, you've guaranteed I won't vote democrat again for a very long time.

Re: If stopped in OTHER state, do you tell/show TX CHL?

I end up in Boston quite a bit for work.

I did, and ended up pulled from the vehicle while they searched it for guns. So yeah, be careful where you do that.

Re: Abbott: Texas won't accept any Syrian refugees

My family came to America in multple waves as refugees, so i'm somewhat biased here. I'd like to think that we're smart enough and caring enough to figure out a way to accept these folks in, even with the danger of ISIS striking through one of them. I'd hope we'd accept the risk, because I thought t...

Out of curiosity, were you over by the Garland Ave exit?
Yep right by the exit.

Re: Texas State University's Biased Newspaper

You know, part of me waits for the day where i'll hear a well thought out, valid, anti-gun talking point that makes me think, and actually engage with someone.

Usually its just pointing out inaccuracies and bad data.

Really nice Garland PD contact today.

First off, I was on my motorcycle on George Bush turnpike. Second off, I was going way too fast. 85 in a 70. Guy was extremely nice, and gave me a warning. Handed over my chl and told him I wasn't carrying. he looks at me and says, "Well, WHY NOT?" :coolgleamA: So this leads to a question (if this i...

Re: U.S. Law Shield - Gun Law Center: Texas Open Carry is Im

Anyone remember how cities like Houston used to arrest peple without a CHL who had a gun in their car, despite the law saying it was legal?

Cops will use any wiggle room to arrest people for doing things they dont like. It took several revisions of the law to finally put a stop to it.

Re: HB 910 Conference Committee

Anyone remember how many times the legislature had to define "traveling" for legal carry in your car without a chl, for cities like Houston to get it? They finally just decided to say forget it and make it completely legal, because police departments (austin and houston from what I remember) would i...

Re: Call-To-Action: HB910

Coming out of hibernation again. I called both my senator and rep (van taylor and jodie laubenberg) who told me they are both behind open carry.

is there any way I can see who voted for and against the conf committee report in case I need to call back and cal them on male bovine excrement?
