Re: Renewal Question(s)
The check sheet with the bar code is that all that is needed to be sent in? Don't need the CHL-100 certificate or the photo and fingerprints as stated? Deans No CHL-100 for a renewal if you are not expired. The system has not been re-programmed yet. It still thinks you need one and puts it on the c...

Re: CCW BELT
Well got my belt today from The Beltman. Had to go with the quick ship belt as the one I was wearing was litterally falling apart. This is one nice belt. nothing fancy, just a good stiff belt. Already did the lock tite thing. Thanks guys for your help.

Re: CCW BELT
Thanks guy. Two more questions. How much stiffer is the belt with the stiffener added? Is there a breakin period?

CCW BELT
Looking at the Beltman website and trying to decide between the horsehide or bullhide 1 1/2 " belt. Which would be the better belt? Is the horsehide worth the extra dollars? Thanks.

Re: my chl class, is this normal?
My class was informative to a point. Spent a lot of time getting paper work, finger prints, photos etc done. Had to pass the shooting part first, there was no use taking the classroom part if you can't shoot. At the last Dallas Gun Show at Market Hall talked to one of the vendors who said they were ...

Made a mistake--Update
When you make a mistake on CHL application how long does it add to your wait time? Took the class 11/21/09 sent packet off and a couple weeks later received a letter stating I had failed to put the address to a former job on the app. Got the address and recent certified mail and received the return ...

Re: Anyone been to Hotwells Shooting Range in Cypress?
I haven't been there since they started CHL classes. But I would buy my supplies and safety equipment elsewhere. Prices would most likely be better and a better selection. May want to check Academy, Carters Country, and Gander Mountain. Hope this helps.

Re: NEW MEMBER
Thanks guys. I am ready to get CHL just didn't want to get it and then get nullified by the girly men in Washington. Deans I fully understand that point of view but what if they just say no new ones can be issued but current ones are still legal? Then that would be another case of shootin yer self ...
