And once you get to Maine, you can't carry concealed; they don't recognize Tx CHL. You *can* open carry, but *not* while you're in your car. You'd have to unload your pistol when getting into your car, then park at your destination, get out of the car, re-load the pistol, and holster it openly.

I had to get a non-resident CHL for Maine since I'm there 2-3 times/year
