Re: Thoughts on the Governor

I think there are better options. Can you make it work? Sure, but I think you'd be better off choosing a platform and becoming proficient. Or choose several platforms and learn them. Here's Paul Harrell's take on the Judge. I can't see the Governor being much different. https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: HB 49 - Kill Daylight Savings Time

...And since I live on rural property, there are always jobs waiting on me when I get home that should/need to be finished before dark. I'm definitely opposed to this one. Same here. I would much rather stay on DST. During the winter months there's not enough daylight before leaving for work to get...

Re: When is a place a polling place

Throw this in the works. Early voting in Lubbock Co. is held in several locations, United Supermarkets being one of them. They set up at the 19th and Quaker location in the patio area of the deli. The patio area is enclosed and can be accessed from the outside or from the store proper. So is the pat...

Re: New Instructor Training Questions

As I recall, the classroom is cold: no live firearms permitted. Don't remember this ever being discussed. I carried every day. I regret not bringing enough water, snacks, or lunch with me each day. Leaving the range is a project because the nearest food is a gas station 20 minutes away and it has v...

Re: Early Voting

I went in about 4:30 this afternoon. Walked in, showed my ID, chit-chatted briefly, again, about the name of road I live on, signed by my name, marked my ballot, dropped it in the box, said my "thank yous" to the ladies working, and was out. Elapsed time 5 min. That's small town though. I did hear t...

Re: Shooting In Abilene

The testosterone and stupidity were flowing like wine! This will be an interesting case to follow. I can't see the detail some of you folks are describing. I can't see what the dead man did to prompt the father or son to shoot. As with most videos, it didn't start at the beginning, so we don't know...
