Is the 'handbook" your employee handbook?
Yes, the Handbook is our employee handbook, which we are investigating the possibility changing to allow LTCs to carry.

The Texas Statute is under the Health and Human Services

State Agency Restricting Carry

I work at a General Residential Operation better known as a children's home (orphanage to some). We are under contract with the Texas Department of Family Protective Services which, in turn, is under Texas Health and Human Services. Our current handbook states that carry is not allowed but there is ...

Re: Mr. Cotton's Birthday

How appropriate that your birthday fall on Thanksgiving day. One thing I am thankful for is your dedication and service to the License to Carry cause and your sponsorship of this site. Happy Birthday and may you and yours have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Re: First Aid Kit-Bee Sting?

And the only one I trust is SOFTT-W Gen 4. The others are complete garbage, including the popular CAT (unless you are willing to carry 4 because the windlasses are made of plastic and break with alarming frequency) You are certainly entitled to your beliefs but I do think it is narrow-minded to say...

Re: Random Question

When they call you again, give them the information that you have found. I'm not real keen on showing up on anyone's doorstep unannounced. I'd be more likely to send him a certified letter with signature receipt. This can also be a good way of documenting a timeline of what has been going on in the ...

p.s. I find it interesting that someone was videoing a massively mundane scene that just happened to turn into a throat slashing.
:iagree: NOPE! Whoever was videoing knew something was about to happen.

Re: Check under the hood of your truck!

They should have plenty of food to eat. Some people say that you shouldn't feed your mouser cats but ours have food out during the day and it hasn't slowed them down. I figure if I feed them they have the energy they need to catch the mice and they know where the food is so they stay home instead o...

Re: Check under the hood of your truck!

I took a lesson from the farmers around me leave the hoods open on anything that gets parked for more than a day or two. I also invested in a couple of cats. Before we had cats, cotton rats and mice where a continuous problem. No matter how tight I got the house, mice would still find a way in. Afte...

Re: 300 blackout for subsonic suppressed rounds

I have a Radical Firearms upper in 300 Blackout. I use it for hog hunting with a suppressor, but I don't shoot subsonic loads. It was working pretty well for me for a couple of years, but the last two hogs I shot made it into the brush and weren't recovered. I'm hunting at night with a thermal sigh...

Sources for Intel?

Thankfully this board gives a lot of us the "heads-up" on potential threats, i.e. Joker/INCEL intel recently posted. I don't have any contact inside any institution that deals with such threats. Is there a source, or sources, that are credible that can be accessed or subscribed to by us common folk?

Re: I'm Ashamed.

Yesterday my wife needed baby stuff and we were right by ( WALMART ). Noooo, I said but wifey was insistent on going, I explained there's a baby boutique about 60 miles away we could go to instead but she just laughed, most people would to I guess? I stayed in the Vehicle and wouldn't go in at leas...
