Re: Washington Redskins to change name

I was thinking along the lines of the football parody movie "The Replacements", but not using 'Washington Sentinels'. Rather the 'Washington Signals'. (as in virtue signaling....) Tom Landry was from my hometown. Stopped watching after they fired Landry, referred to the team after that as either 'T...

Re: .357 Mag Powder

I don't understand the concern over using standard small pistol primers with A-2400 in the .357 mag (or the .44 mag). In my short 10 years of re-loading, I've burned quite a few pounds of A-2400 and AA#9 (both magnum rated pistol powders) and never had the need to consider or buy magnum primers. If ...

Re: If you could only carry a revolver

As a land surveyor (past retirement age - still working) I've carried a revolver "in the field" for many, many years. Been through a lot of .38 spl field guns and all the blued ones were kicked out in short order. Running a business and taking care of the field equipment (and every thing else) every...

Re: Any other wheel gun carriers around?

Dang, all this talk about wheel guns... I'm considering picking up another one. I'm thinking something along the lines of a nickel model 36. Thoughts? I have a 1963 Nickle plated M36 that I always boot carry whenever I have to wear something other than lace up work boots. It usually accompanies one...

Rush did the Math Barbie parody quite a few years ago …. pull her string and she said "math is hard" (in a whiny voice). Danged if she wasn't right!

City of Houston public buildings have big signs on the doors that say “No Unlicensed Firearms”

Even at the airport.

Re: Church shooting in Tarrant County - White Settlement

Are others as disappointed as I am (although not surprised) by the fact that the media, particularly Fox News (I can't speak for the others) has constantly reported in this story that Texas just passed a law this year that allows citizens to carry firearms into a place of worship? Yep, it's true acc...

Re: Church shooting in Tarrant County - White Settlement

are we back to using the term "church security team" rather than "church safety team"? I may be a bit behind on the accepted terminology.

Re: .357 Magnum Revolver recommendations

Ruger SP-101, 3", da/sa. My daily carry (for the last 9 years) on the job 5-6 days per week, and always my companion of choice any other time in the woods. In Dec. of 2015 I traded into a 16" stainless Rossi .357 that compliments my SP-101 really well. The SP-101 still has a near daily useful purpos...

Just guessing, but it sounds like a classic case of "rim lock".

Are you trying to load the shorter coal hollow point cartridges in this magazine?

Re: Fort Fisher

The Museum is worth the visit. My wife and I went with some friends in 2017, just a few months after my brain surgery(s) ... so I was still having to get around with at least one walking stick. It was a bit of a challenge, but a very rewarding trip. The restaurant down by the river and micro-brewery...
