I was thinking about taking a couple of extra days and taking my wife to Galveston - but the hotels start at $160/day. Anyone know of any less expensive places to stay on the island? I google mapped the conference hotel then asked for nearby motels and the Econolodge jumped up. I think their price is in the $40 range. I probably will make reservations closer to the date. Has anyone had any experience with paid print advertising? Does it work? I've thought about an ad in the local community newspaper, but not sure if it would just be a waste of money.

I agree about contacting another moving company, or a perhaps a safe company. He makes it look pretty easy in the video, but I wouldn't want the first time I tried this to be in my house. At least a moving company should have insurance in case anything happens.

I haven't shot with any of the local groups other than the Collin County club, which I highly recommend. Great bunch of guys. They shoot more often and have more stages per match than any other club I've seen. It's a bit of a drive, but well worth it.
