Re: Fort Worth Zoo vs. Texas State Fair

I don't recall anyone on this forum saying that the signs at the FW Zoo were legal and enforceable. And that's not just our opinion, but the State AG also. IIRC, he said something along the lines that a third party may post the signs and not be in violation of the fines for signs law since they are...

I’d be worried about the residual irritants left in my vehicle afterwards.
That's what I was thinking about. How are your going to get that smell out of your seats and carpet afterwards?

Re: Bearding

All the bad stuff is being caught in the beard so the bearded one doesn't get sick as much. It acts as a filter. We just gotta keep the filter clean as often as we can.

Re: DFW Veterans Cemetery Legal for CC Carry?

Federal property is not always off limits. You can CC at national parks, for example, if state law does not otherwise prohibit it. However, you cannot CC in any buildings on federal property. Just my opinion, not legal advice. I'm not sure why the cemetery is off limits, but I do recall it being po...

If you're talking about DFW National Cemetery, then yes. It is federal property and prohibited.

Re: Bearding

I've been keeping a beard for about 5 years now. I shaved it off for a few months about 4 years ago after getting laid off from one job and applying to the FDA for a few different positions. I also had longish hair that cut off, but is way longer now. As far as the beard goes, I let it get 3-4 inche...

Re: Anyone fly-fish?

Started fly fishing with my Dad after I got out of the Navy back in the 80's. We tried a few different places for about 10 years. I remember starting out my biggest hurdle was figuring out how to keep from hitting myself in the back of the head with my fly. Good times!

Re: Feeling almost like a real Texan...

The looks very nice Andy. My old smoker is rusted and I need a replacement, but didn't want to put out a whole lot of money. For $100 I'm going to check it out. With the attached smoker-box I'll finally be able to experiment with smoking brisket etc - something I've never done but I'm sure that eve...
