No kidding on both of those. We've looked at replacing our current truck that is 13y old and coming up on 200k miles. A new one with equivalent features in the same top trim level costs about as much as our first house.

In that case, you don't want to be anywhere near my daughter's high school during testing weeks. Some of them even bring blankets. I'm not sure what for, but I've seen them hauling them in.

I can't really think of any gun related things that annoy me. Well, other than the usual unsafe handling practices by those that think they know better, but that's nothing new.

Other things, though, are the lack of handwriting skills among school children. I have a few nephews and nieces whose handwriting looks like a 4 year old's. Also, the use of things like "ur" in place of "you are" in texts or other typed verbiage. And the lack of punctuation or the proper or even semi-proper use of paragraphs to separate thoughts. Too much "auto correct" has led to poor spelling skills.
