Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

I'd put a Cruz sign in my front yard but not spending $35 to get one, he'll have my vote. Normally I have the same attitude. However, here in Central Texas, the plethora of Beto signs kind of ticks me off. My wife & I drove into Austin to visit the Cruz campaign headquarters and gave them $50 in ex...

Re: Interesting Night Last Night

It looks like a rat snake to me. Normally I feel that most snakes are beneficial to the environment, particularly anything called a Rat Snake. However, our local biologist recommends eliminating rat snakes whenever we find them because they're very detrimental to ground nesting birds (like turkeys).

Despite various mistakes on the perp's part, I have to say, I'm very impressed by that door kick. "rlol"
It looked like he almost lost his pants when he went out.

Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder

… Everyone on the video seems to have made mistakes. That's certainly a major truth! Without audio it's difficult to really know for certain what happened. Was the victim saying "Now I'm gonna kick your butt!" ?? Or was he saying "Leave my girl friend alone!" ?? Or was he saying nothing? What, if a...

Re: Pig Hunting

Since hogs don't tolerate heat well at all, they're generally nocturnal during the warm months. A light at a feeder can work pretty well, but a night vision or thermal weapon sight certainly offers more flexibility. Prices range from a bottom of maybe $2K up to $9-10K at the high end for consumer st...

Re: First time hog hunting advice

I've been using the Glen Guess gutless method (see mrvmax' post above for the video) for about a year now. The 'behind the ear' shot is risky. The spinal column drops pretty low rather quickly. If I have a perfect shot opportunity (hog is broadside and still) I go for the middle of the neck. My seco...

Re: How "Prepped" Are you?

I think I need enough to win my portion of the war. For a Texan, I have a fair start. For a Californian, I have an "ARSENAL" There's the answer! Get together with a handful of like-minded folks and head for California when the troubles come. Most of the folks there are disarmed. We'll rule the coun...

Re: Man attacks teens in San antonio over MAGA hat

The teens didnt press charges because a witness who wished to remain anonymous said they were saying racial slurs etc. Guy was wrong for what he did but these "teens" need better home training and respect, especially in the public place. According to PJ Media, this was attributed to "a local news s...

Re: Austin Off-Duty Security Guard Found Not Guilty After 1.5 Years

Going only from the info presented in the link: 1. I tend to think that since the jury needed only 15 minutes to decide that the prosecution case was awful weak. As in, it should not have been brought to court. Actually, the article said the jury deliberated three hours on Thursday, and then came b...

Re: Taxing Online Ammo Sales

I don't think it will work that way. The state where the product is shipped will be able to compel the out of state vendor to collect sales tax. I think this is correct. The buyer will be forced to pay sales tax in his or her local taxing jurisdiction. The seller will be required to collect it and ...

Re: AT&T Stadium for Non-Scholastic/Non-Professional Event

The legal technicalities regarding this issue are way beyond me, but I can imagine a scenario where off-duty police or private security prevent someone from entering the facility, and the city still maintains that they are not responsible. The police might also point out that the officers involved w...
