I ran across a box of obviously reloaded .30 Carbine cartridges that were loaded with 110 gr spire point bullets. Whoever loaded them had seated the bullets far below the rim, so that the ogive was almost completely inside the case with perhaps a tenth of an inch of the tip above the rim. There was only one box and I told my boss that we should not sell them to anyone. He didn't know where they had come from as they were there when he took over as the supervisor of the hardlines area of the store. He had me mark them out of stock and gave them to me. I kept them as a curiosity; never tried to shoot them and I doubt they wouldn'e fed anyway. I loaded 110 gr Sierra round nose soft point for my Carbines back then. They are a hoot to shoot!
